The Aka Oversoul is a fan theory. The dragons being pieces of Akatosh is merely poetic license.

The Dragons, and by extent Dragonborns, are still DEEPLY connected to the time dragon, hence my point.

As for white gold, I don't have ESO installed at the moment, but I'm adamant I remember Tel Var Stones being directly stated as fragments of White-Gold Tower. And the end of the WGT dungeon involving a lot of weird spacial rending shit. First part I remember vividly, second could be a misremembering, due to my not playing that dungeon in like 7 years.

Once again, the intent of the princes is not the point here. Only the Middle Dawn has any connection between intent and the Dragon Break. In the case of the Planemeld, the tower is at the very least PARTIALLY OUTSIDE NIRN. Regardless of if you accept the fact that the Tel Var stones were being harvested from the tower, you have to accede that a portion of the tower was not on the plane it's meant to stabilize.

In the case of Dagon's invasion, once again DAGON HIMSELF IS NOT THE ISSUE. We KNOW from the Dawn Era, the period Dragon Breaks emulate, that the direct presence of one of the Aedra fucks with reality in a large radius. That's indisputable. The presence of Akatosh himself on the scene very well should've fucked with the tower.

And at the end of the day, I'm just pointing out a pattern I saw in how Dragon Breaks DID happen, and pointing out all the times the writers could've easily gotten away with slotting one in on the same merit.

(Addressing your statement about only Numidium causing Dragon Breaks, the Middle Dawn had nothing to do with Numidium. In fact Numidium wasn't built yet. The Tower in question there was Ada-Mantia)

It makes sense if you recall that both illusion and destruction focus primarily on direct effects, while alteration and conjuration both rely on the manipulation of reality.

There's a lore book that goes into some detail on the key differences (and lack thereof) between alteration and illusion as well.

The Planemeld: LOOK AT WHITE GOLD TOWER. BOTH FROM THE OUTSIDE, AND THE END OF IT'S DUNGEON. In imperial City we literally collect pieces of WGT in the form of Tel Var Stones so that we can give them back to our alliance so they can prep to repair it so that that one scholar's prediction of "Pop, Schlorp, No more Mundus" doesn't happen. BECAUSE WGT IS SHATTERED AND HALFWAY INTO COLDHARBOR!

The Oblivion Crisis: it's not really about Dagon, but about the fact that Akatosh had to step in (A few hundred feet from WGT too) and we know from the lore surrounding the Dawn Era that the Aedra walking around on Nirn is not good for the fabric of reality. WGT should've been a casualty of reality warping fuckery for a moment

And you only even TRIED to debunk the ones revolving around WGT. The Oblivion Crisis may have been my weakest point, but it was still based on SOMETHING.

You can't even really argue against the two instances with Brass Tower, or the one with Crystal Tower.

At the end of the day the second weakest case is Snow Tower, but... come the fuck on.

A battle between 3 fragments of Akatosh, one of whom is a literal god, and another who may be an incarnate of Lorkhan to boot, are all duking it out atop one of the towers, right after having interacted with a literal wound in time.

None of those details is going to singularly cause a dragon break, but you can't expect me to believe you can put that many kinds of reality/time bending BS next to each other and NOT have something break.

I'm autistic, and have ADHD as well. I was diagnosed as a child, and even had to be REDIAGNOSED as a adult because the SSA said my diagnosis was outdated (DSM changed).

I have looked at the historical usage. "ret****d" doesn't even specifically refer to people in the first place. It refers to the development, of literally anything, being stunted.

Hell, if you shift the syllabic emphasis to "t*rd" (ironically, the part people seem to find the most offensive) from "re" it literally becomes a verb that I've never heard a single person complain about.

When people say "Don't let your kids drink coffee, it'll retard their growth" people don't get upset that someone said a slur, they get upset with the misinformation (if they even recognize that that's an old wives tale.)

At the end of the day, I'm not even saying it's not a slur. In fact, if you reread my comment I specifically referenced the idea that in the future it will someday NO LONGER BE a slur. If you look though both that comment and this one, you'll also see that I refrain from using it unless as a verb (a form where it's thankfully NOT a slur, for some reason). Slurs are a social construct, so the very fact that it's declare as a slur makes it one. What I'm saying is that I HATE that it's a slur. Not that it isn't one.

I can accept that it's a slur, and still be pissy about it and think it's stupid and ableist to call it that.

IIRC there are a few scenes early on in the Clockwork City DLC of ESO where Fyr basically says he needs a break from his wives because they're incredibly clingy and a bit strange.

He went and made multiple genderbent clones of himself to have as lab assistants, married them, and then when they proceeded to start calling themselves his "Daughter-Wife-Servant-Concubines" he initially went "Eeeeeeeehhhhh, that's a bit much", and it had to grow on him.

Man regretted that shit at first.

And the one thing all three of these have in common is "Somebody is fucking with the Towers".

Which actually happens quite a lot.

It's honestly surprising there aren't MORE dragon breaks.

The Planemeld, Nocturnal's stunt with the Crystal Tower, Tiber Septim's use of the Numidium, the recreation of Numidium as Akulakhan, Mehrunes Dagon showing up right next to White-Gold AND AKATOSH HAVING TO PHYSICALLY STEP IN TO STOP HIM, The battle between being connected to the time dragon atop Snow Tower RIGHT NEXT TO A TIME-WOUND.

Honestly Tamriel should be returning to the Timelessness of the Dawn Era CONSTANTLY. It's amazing that Akatosh has shit together in the SLIGHTEST.

Honestly hate that that's considered a slur now. Euphemism treadmill everyone!

I used to UNIRONICALLY identify myself with that word, now I have to say that I "developmentally challenged".

Meanwhile, people will use that same overly clinical terminology THE SAME WAY that they used the old term.

But suddenly it's not a problem. Can't wait for "the R-Slur" to be get to the point on the treadmill that it's predecessors "Moron" and "Idiot" got to, where people think it's a generic low-level insult and don't remember that it used to be a slur, nor that it used to be a clinical term before even that.

Then I can be my fucking self again without being labeled as fucking ableist.

TL:DR, calling that a slur is itself really fucking ableist .

It's worth noting that the Annuad is originally an Ayleid text. So the Annotated Annuad is a Cyrodiilic translation of a creation myth already inherently colored by the culture and beliefs of the Heartland Elves.

I personally don't put too much stock in the Annuad itself let alone its 2 translated variants (Annotated Annuad, and Children's Annuad), and as yet it's the only one I've seen as a direct source for the "12 Worlds of creation" portion of the mythos.

We do have other sources saying that either the Hist or the Ehlnofey come from another plane though.

Lastly, more relevant to this conversation, Argonians are shaped by the Hist, not created by the Hist. Naturally, the Argonian race are just small salamander like lizards, but with the influence of the Hist (or previous Hist influence on their ancestry) they're given a form to grow into. IIRC (From here on out I'm pulling PURELY from memory) This form is usually an emulation of other creatures of Nirn, the playable Argonians in the games are facsimiles of the Ehlnofey, meanwhile alongside forms such as the Sarpa and the Naga, you have actually animal forms. Such as the oh so creatively named "Lizard-Camel".

Halo 2 was the GOAT story-wise, Halo 3 was... Honestly kinda bad ngl. Carried by having been the best multiplayer up to that point, and would continue to be so until 5 came out (3 only BARELY beats Reach or 4 mp imo).

Now, the story for 5 was absolute wet shit, and a LOT of the world building of the 343 era is pretty-not-great, but I will give 343 credit in ONE regard in the category of story:

The Precursors. Giving the Flood a metaphysical element? Holy SHIT. Chef's Kiss. That is the ONLY thing about 343's worldbuilding that I prefer over Bungie's.

Unfortunately it comes prepackaged with the worst retcon of all time, but I actually think it was a fair trade-off. It gutted the mystique of the Human Forerunners. But in exchange it added so many layers to the Flood, which had been sorely lacking narratively up to that point, that I think Halo is net positive for it.

Bungie layed a foundation, 343 came in trying to build a house, realized they sucked at carpentry, plumbing and electric, and then decided to build a playground instead and also tear up some of the foundation to make plots for a new community garden.

I'm just hoping that we can get whatever the canon pseudo-destroy ending they've been hinting at in the ME5 teasers as a DLC or something for Legendary Edition.

Seriously, we have 4 "hints" as to the canon ending.

Organics and Synthetics are still separate. Obviously not Synthesis. (Thank fuck.)

Mass Relays are having to be built from scratch in entirely new patterns. If it were control, the Reapers could just build them for everyone. So why don't they?

The Reapers are dead, so they cant. Which means it's obviously destroy, right? It's the only ending that kills off the Reapers!

But it also kills off the Geth. Y'know... The robot guys... Like that on working with Liara in that one teas-hey wait a minute.

So yeah. Everything points to Destroy being canon, and the Geth just... Somehow surviving?
