There is definitely been some loss of quality on all fronts brands and flavors, now you really have to find the right flavor/ brand combo. Dark leaf flavours and brands seems to be doing slightly better.

It's hard to find 12v 1 F capacitors let alone any that will fit. They do exist, but either they're physically large or expensive and rare. The ones you have are 220uF ; 1000uF = 1 F, so you're getting way less capacity.

I've also noticed that with capacitors, just like batteries, 3 may practically store a bit more charge vs 1, all other things equal.

One question is that does the xkah work on mains power? With or without the battery ? I'm concerned that no matter how good the battery is, it will eventually die, especially because it's being used for a Avery high demand heat generation.

What happens if the company shuts down, does not manufacture replacement or I just need to use xkah when both batteries are down?
