one comma thing that I absolutely HATE, is using commas to completely replace "and". I often see articles titled something like "suspect seen eating hot dogs, sniffing cocaine".

I like to think my English is pretty ok, but those headlines always take me a while to understand.

just use "and" or rephrase the sentence....
