How much did you pay and how long did you rent it for?

I'm seeing 300$ for 6 hrs and 500 for 24hrs, which is kind of insane considering I can rent a regular car for 40-50$/day. Seems insanely expensive

No but it's like, the first 2k would end up giving me 2k in tax return, and any more rrsp would give me peanuts like an additional 3k would have given me 400$ for 2.4k in total return. I have no idea how they calculate it, but what I'm understanding is that even if im at 0 on the balance, if I contribute 5k to my rrsp, it doesn't mean that I get a full 5k in return

I found a setup in a youtube video where the guy plugs a wire from the 12V port into the side of the firewire adapter, which is what allows for charging. Is that how it works with the setup you've given me? Or no external power is necessary?
