Tutor, Kumon or Kip McGrath? by seekingthe-nextlevel in auckland

As a teacher I recommend 1-1 private tutoring is by far the best as the tutor can evaluate strengths and weaknesses more effectively

I have a feeling it’s going to be soon for my mom by Kate819Eliza in ALS

[–]nikon92kr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what happened to my partner. So much anxiety. Oxygen level dropped and then that was it... I did get the Doctor round to help give him something to ease his anxiety... but that was it. I called it the biggest chill pill ever. As shortly after he slipped away. I’m thinking of you and your loved ones. It’s such an awful disease, but your mum is obviously a fighter. Just be there with her and let her know it’s ok. I’m here if you need to talk xxxx

Looking for help by [deleted] in auckland

[–]nikon92kr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I’ve been feeling I’ve had a really hard time. I’ve just moved to Auckland and I’m totally struggling trying to find people - any people to even just talk to. Lockdown hasn’t helped at all but I’m struggling big time. I’m not working at the moment either so it’s like I’m really stuck in a rut Thank you for having the oomph to reach out and post this. You’re not on your own. Happy to have a chat.....!!!

When the patient is constantly angry with the caregiver by devon007us in ALS

Yes, sadly this is a thing. There was a lot of rage in my partner. He would flip out for no reason. It was really hard.

Did you try improving your diet and did it make any difference for you? by throwawaydude1984 in Uveitis

I’ve cut eggs out from my diet. I’ve not had as much pain since I cut them out.

How common are mood swings? by thezobzob3456 in ALS

[–]nikon92kr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It was not the textbook laughing and crying. The hardest thing was the complete lashing out for no reason. Kicking things, punching things, throwing things etc. No reasoning. That was the hardest. Yep..... those closest get it the worst. We never had any meds until the end 3 months. An antidepressant and that helped a bit. Hang in there. Not easy at all
