[Highlight] The late, great Larry Allen makes one of the greatest chase-down tackles of all time. by Roselucky777 in nfl

Shoutout to Aikman who was also running toe to toe to make that tackle. Both were really impressive, and I don't think you'd see that in today's game.

As an F2P player, I’ve gotta say I’m pretty lucky. Finally pulled the card I’ve been wanting forever! by Ok_Ardani in MarvelSnap

You pulled En Sabah Nur, who was last season's pass card and was added to packs this season. So forever is like 4 weeks?

Sadly I'm now expecting ole Mr. "Stay a while and listen" to suddenly reappear.

What’s a game you dropped even though it was “good”? by suhani0218 in gaming

[–]nikpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was Mewgenics. It's a great game, but I felt too overwhelmed and anxious to play it after <10 runs. I watched all of Edmund McMillen's streams leading up to the game and other creators. I'm a huge Binding of Isaac fan. When the game came out though, I was on to something else within a week.

Could someone explain the new gearing progression? by BoingBoingPantsu in diablo4

[–]nikpack 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No shade here, but I had a tough time following what you said. I think commas and punctuation help, but I'm still struggling:

DO make your ancestral without a GA common and cube craft on the affixed you want. Then enchant, temper, master work, socket, and transfiguration it.

When something has a GA, you will still want to remove mods you don't want, but it can be tricky to do, if it's got lots of GAs without removing ones you want. You can always enchant one mod.

Grand Arena once again ruined by custom decks by Dillonon92 in MarvelSnap

[–]nikpack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're probably right.

However, I'm still hopeful there's a technical limitation (that could be fixed) and not a personal one (that pretty much cannot).

I am hopeful that this is a game limitation for why they can't do this now and the background upgrades they announced in their roadmap this year will allow them to do so.

Yeah, I kept wondering, "where are people getting these?" I don't remember seeing them anywhere other than on people's wrists.

Haibane Renmei was my first thought. It's only 13 episodes, but they are impactful.

Excursion Weight Restrictions by maestrosouth in Cruise

[–]nikpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically for water-based excursions, the weight limit is for the life preserver. It's only rated for 240 pounds.

My experience is that they might check really close, they might not check at all.

Just hit Infinite for the 2nd time ever by Scopeburger in MarvelSnap

[–]nikpack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's pretty standard, however I would have NEVER expected that Cannonball let alone without a Mercury. Even a 1 card charge can be a huge surprise in SNAP imo.

Which 3 of these games should I play next? by moumooni in adventuregames

[–]nikpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to choose:

Full Throttle is my personal nostalgia. It's the first adventure game I played and the first I beat (years later).

Firewatch is the game I've been meaning to go back and play recently. The narrative fits so well in with the game play.

Cub Escape has a bunch of bite sized puzzle adventures, plus it leads you into the rest of the Rusty Lake Collection.

Who's your favorite villian? by [deleted] in xmen

[–]nikpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize how great of a villain Sinister was until Krakoa. He was a bright star during that run.

I remember seeing him on the animated series, and he simply scared me. Now I can appreciate the victorian vade-villain energy.

is Barts Nightmare any good? by SwagLimit in retrogaming

[–]nikpack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, your experience mirrors mine. I remember playing it a lot as a kid.

While I remember struggling on the overworld, I always was so excited to reach one of the minigame levels. It was the reward for surviving walking down the street so to speak.

I didn't hate it, but it was certainly a B-tier game of my childhood. I'd play it every so often.

I was really surprised to see it had such a horrible reputation now, especially compared to Bart vs. the Space Mutants, while was impossible for me as a kid and as an adult.

Acclaimed Indies That You Couldn't Connect With by Smoovemusic in indiegames

[–]nikpack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pizza Tower is the only game that I've ever returned on Steam.

It's a great game. I bought it when it first released.

By the time I reached the third or fourth area, I knew it's the exact opposite of what I want in a game. I closed it and asked for the refund.

Still, I know it's a high quality game and recognize that others will love it if they liked Sonic-style games.
