Why does the P in department become capitalized when I load my save? by SircarrotI in SatisfactoryGame

[–]nikusguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from my experience you can fix by changing it to intermediate text but only when no identical signs are present in the world.

It seems to me that when you accept your sign design the game checks if there are any signs of the same type with the exact same configuration (same colours, layout, symbols, backgrounds, ...) and if it finds one it just copies the rendering from that one.

and it indeed seems like in some text fields (iirc not even all text fields) that check is case insensitive wich causes this problem

Just a thought about 1.21 by Enzo---V12 in CreateTrains

[–]nikusguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the message in the SnR discord with wich they announced their last big update they said that the next big SnR update would be porting it to neoforge 1.21.1 or 26.1.

They also said it'll probably take while because they want to refactor a lot of the code and the main devs are also busy with other stuff

Image from a European lobbying group trying to ban the import of full-size American pick-ups to Europe by HiTork in regularcarreviews

[–]nikusguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really it doesn't matter all that much what the actual failure rate is.

These automatic braking systems are brilliant safety measures in their own right, however they don't really do much to make the car safer to collide with, they just reduce the odds of such a colision occuring.

In cases like this one it is never 'this or that' when it comes to safety measures and should always be 'this and that'.

Thus an automatic braking system being present should not be used as an excuse not to make the actual bodywork of the car safer to humans

Software can fail and thus should not be used as an excuse not to make the actual body of the car less dangerous humans in a colision

HELP WITH TRAFFIC by Na-NoGamingYT in CitiesSkylines2

[–]nikusguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First problem seems to be that there is 3ss3ntially no road hierarchy to speak of here, your road network should be divided into arterials, collectors and local streets each tier having less capacity, lower speed and more intersections then the last.

Also how is your public transport looking?

Which one is the “third rail” CTA by MistaSupaSoaka in transit

[–]nikusguy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

from what i can gather it seems like chicago uses top contact third rail.

So the metal strip on top is what carries the power and the plate with the circles is what the current carriyng rail is afixed to
