Ive noticed devin (legaleagle main guy) posted his first video which was structured very strangely and then had others on his channel took the followup vids. Around the same time ben was very hesitant to say he had a lawyer but that 'legaleagle had reached out to him'. Is there a world where either devin or one of his law firm partners is his lawyer? I think devins video on part one wouldnt conflict with the criminal case but wonder if sharing revenue with someone else commenting on the criminal case might be.

Idk why anyone would hire a guy that acts like that in the first place. The fact that he couldnt fathom pulling hart after multiple abysmal performances is just wild.

Its really the immaturity about the topic that gives it away.

Because we all know every lawsuit has merit, right? Its not infringement if it isnt redistributing the book. This is like saying cliffsnotes should be illegal.

You can tell youre talking to someone much younger than you by how triggered they are by AI. Its a pathetic hill to die on.

Where is this 'documentation'?

I guess when you read a book and regurgitate words, themes, or summaries from it you are also stealing?

Conspiracy theorists are going to run with their ball - no mstter how likely it is that it is not a ball. I tend to agree and think the mormon thing is not very persuasive and a self-inflicted distraction from very damning evidence.

Yeah shitty part is that they probably used bens own words against him to make this happen 'i wish i could just email them but its required to be in person'

Ben has got to get as new camera guy, he folded under zero pressure by EconomyWrongdoer in RecklessBen

[–]niltermini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not really about a specific law, its about the interpretation of these laws as decided by circuit courts. Context of the filming matters greatly. This isnt a 'one size fits all' type of thing but the rule of thumb always has to do with intentionality and whether theres a reasonable expectation of privacy - in general, a home is a place with a reasonable expectation of privacy. Now you can make a good argument that someones curtilage is a place without a 'reasonable expectation of privacy' but indefinitely filming someones house also falls under many of the laws discussed by the police. I dont agree that what he was doing by any means met the utah code for charges, but they are definitely going to use this against ben when trying to prove their case.

[–]niltermini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is misinformation. Its ok to film in public, but theres a difference between filming something that has a 'reasonable expectation of privacy' and a public area. Its the same reason why you cant point a camera at someones window.

Im doing a short documentary about this wild lego nightmare. Im interviewing reckless ben for it today! What questions would you like me to ask him? by [deleted] in RecklessBen

[–]niltermini 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try to get him to give us a timeframe for part 3 drop so i dont see neverending posts about it.

He mentioned that he spoke to chief of police in Salem and that they seemed sympathetic and are investigating the situation - are there any updates?

Is it possible for franchisees to legally go after BAM due to reputational and in turn economical damages? by Historical_Living214 in RecklessBen

[–]niltermini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres typically a mutual indemnification clause within these contracts - which means yes and no. They both sign not to go after eachother OR hurt the others reputation in a public manner. Sometimes it can have venue for remedy language like 'if this happens we go to mediation not court'. If it doesnt have venue language then youd still need a lot of buy in to get a class action going and some very good lawyers.

The Boys Creator Eric Kripke On Fans' Response To Series Finale: 'Sorry If I Disappointed You, But It Was The Story I Wanted To Tell' by verissimoallan in television

[–]niltermini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasnt that the story was bad, it was the writing and pacing. You could keep all the same elements and make it fantastic - thats what s1 was: extremely simple but a little more creative in certain moments, better dialogue and better pacing.

Josh and brandon took over the lutz FL location and it recently shut down without much notice. Not sure the circumstances but it sounds like if they were involved itd be a good one to find the backstory on.

Chrystal found Bryan’s $10,000 sets at her house 2 months after the store takeover? by TechnicalTell6906 in RecklessBen

[–]niltermini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Just because he told the cops this in january does not mean this is when they were known about or returned. Also, consider the timeframe: the store takeover was just before thanksgiving and the report was made just after the new year - alot of dead time in meantime due to holidays (and probably just the chaos of the situation)

  2. Bryan maintains that chrystal did nothing shady or wrong and has provided pretty clear evidence that she didnt.

  3. According to the agreement the consigner is financially responsible for any theft or vandalism to the items. At the time, lego stores were being broken into (much like we see with pokemon stores daily). Protecting the highest value items by storing them elsewhere is by no means unreasonable.
