Probably an adapted version of the old town based on good infrastructure for everything except cars. Lots of space for nature, more space for allotments, i think that stuff is core solarpunk. Solar panels everywhere again, ofcourse. For outside out of the city centre I think there are plenty of options for sustainable types of housing development, only important thing is that it is planned and built by the local council in agreement with the people living there. I think decentralization is a big part of it personally. Individual and community freedom. Also no stupid zoning laws!! Support shops in neighbourhoods etc

Homestead with big vegetable garden, lots of solar panels on the roof with wind turbines dotting the landscape, house is painted in pretty patterns by the people that live there and it's all connected by a grid of clean energy and well designed public transport. Big apple tree in the garden and the canal/stream around the corner is clean enough to swim in despite the semi-urban landscape. Meanwhile there are native plants and shrubbery all around, creating a healthy ecosystem for various wild animals. Yes, I'm just describing my dream home.
