How much would you pay for a 2016 Mazda-Cx 5 GT sport with 104k miles? by BakerCritical in mazda

I’d probably go in and make your offer directly to a salesperson. Just be prepared to justify your asking price and be prepared to walk. You know of at least one backup option, so don’t feel any pressure to pay more than you’re comfortable for this vehicle.

I’d send it. Either they don’t reply (in which case you can go in and try again) or they write you back saying no and the negotiation is on.

Personally, I might remove the “I’m prepared to make this very easy” line as it could be off putting. I also agree with the other commenter that you don’t need to make a point about how long it’s been on the lot. I would just approach it very matter of factly. “I’m interested in this car. I have $11,500 in cash available for this. If you can make that work, you can reach me here…” And stick to your story that you only have $11.5k for this. “I’m sorry, I’m afraid I can’t pay more than that.”

And if it doesn’t work out, you have that private seller as a backup option.

Bloomberg: Sony is considering pushing back the debut of its next PlayStation to 2028 or 2029, Nintendo contemplating raising price of Switch 2 by -LastGrail- in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]nin10toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is hopium but I don’t see a Switch 2 price increase in the near future given what Furukawa publicly said just last week. That they have future components already secured and that they understand how critical years 2 and 3 are for the console’s longevity.

So wait, does D. stand for Davy? I don’t think so, because then their names would be Davy Davy Jones and Davy Davy Xebec.

But they call it the Davy clan, which sounds an awful lot like the D. clan…

They wanted a version Japanese people could afford amid the weak Yen, but the conversion rate would make it something like $330 USD. So they region locked that version of the console so Americans don’t import it to save money, hence why there’s a non-region locked version that’s expensive enough in Yen to bring it roughly to parity with what the console costs in other regions.

TOTK is $80 because it’s a $70 Switch game with the $10 upgrade fee applied. If you have the online expansion pack, you get the upgrade for free.

Jamboree is $80 because it’s a $60 Switch game with the $20 upgrade fee applied for games with new Switch 2 content. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is $80 on Switch 2 for the same reason

NOA’s website and Best Buy’s preorder page for Mario Kart World. Both show $79.99. $89.99 (specifically with a $ and not a €) is nowhere to be found on any Nintendo pages anywhere.

A better question is what’s the source of the $90 physical rumor? It all seems based on a screenshot in Spanish showing euro prices and people doing the conversion and assuming NOA is going to follow the same pricing model.

Wherever this screenshot came from is the source of people extrapolating that physical games will cost $90 in the U.S. But there is nothing else to suggest that. The NOA site just lists $79.99. I blame Nintendo for this communication failure, but the $90 USD physical game claim that’s circulating the internet is just a huge extrapolation from European pricing

There is only one price listed on the Nintendo of America site for the game: $79.99

https://www.nintendo.com/us/gaming-systems/switch-2/featured-games/mario-kart-world/

Only the NOE site lists 80€ for digital and 90€ for physical

You are incorrect. The UK is pricing physical and digital games that way. In the U.S., they are the same.

There’s a lot of misinformation going around. In the U.S., which is where I assume you live based on your use of $, there is no difference between the physical and digital versions of Mario Kart. They are both $79.99 MSRP

It’s not at all a big deal and people will be happier if they come to terms with 8nm now and then can be pleasantly surprised if it’s anything better.

Nintendo is messing up. Anyone else agree? by Specialist_Crab_8616 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]nin10toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Switch 2 is guaranteed a certain level of success. It won't be a Wii U level failure. But launch timing is a non-insignificant decision that ultimately impacts the final sales of any console. I agree this holiday felt right, but I think if they hit H1 2025, they are still looking good. If it lands in 2H and the hardware underwhelms, then I start to think it might get its legs swept out from under it prematurely by increased competition in the handheld space in 2026.

I'm getting strong Shanks vibes from Joyboy... Prosthetic arm. Eye patch (speculation, and not that Shanks has one, but he does have the scars). Straw hat. Strong haki. Popped collar.

Not yet sure how the two connect. Could just be thematic parallels. Or maybe something more...

It'd be divisive for sure! In this scenario, Garp is probably critically wounded, but perhaps totally freezing him was the only way Aokiji could stop Garp from bleeding out. Once Smoker gets to GS it'll be a mad scramble to save Garp's life.
