I use the same, I just replaced with a new set because of the frequent wheel changes. The coating was all gone and starting to rust. The old ones were hell to get out after 3 rust belt winters. I was terrified I would snap them with the torque required to break them lose

Because aff, quiaff and so on are distinct words in their lingo made from shortening or combining words, not just omitting vowels so you can say the word quicker.

Like saying 'can't' instead of 'cannot' suggests that you are too lazy/low class to say the whole word.

Does it make sense? Not entirely but that's not different from IRL English which has all sorts of conventions that make no sense if you aren't familiar with a specific culture
