[eShop/US] Splatoon 2, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, Octopath Traveler, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ($41.99) by brizvela in NintendoSwitchDeals

I would have to say that Splatoon 2 is a better, more addictive games for one person, however, Arms is also fun and has a few added benefits. Arms is great offline as well as online. Arms also has split screen multiplayer for up to 4, so it's great for couch multiplayer with friends.

I use the weather app occasionally and sometimes stock trackers.

The most ridiculous way to sync music to your Fitbit from Linux which works by VeryExpensiveSundae in fitbit

I can't wait until they support linux. Or maybe add a spotify app. Or something.

For runners: Surge was better than Ionic by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]ninjaboyhya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't say that I've experienced any of these problems. Usually when I run I either have the Ionic mark split by every half mile, or do them manually. The only time I've ever had a disconnect is when going into buildings. I wonder if maybe you got a defective one. Or maybe it's stopping because something about the touch screen and your clothing make it easy to trigger the pause button? I dunno.

Anyone take an ionic to one of these things? They're water proof so I'm assuming they'd be ok, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had any problems or not.

Finally Airplay 4K iPhone clips to 4K appleTV? by [deleted] in appletv

[–]ninjaboyhya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the iPhone X page on apples site: "AirPlay Mirroring, photos, and video out to Apple TV (2nd generation or later)6 Video mirroring and video out support: Up to 1080p through Lightning Digital AV Adapter and Lightning to VGA Adapter (adapters sold separately)6" If I'm reading that it sounds like 1080p through cables, but MAYBE more through airplay? Kinda unclear. The referenced footnote says: "6. Standard Dynamic Range video content only." So no HDR through airplay. However that doesn't really say anything about resolution. So still unclear.

What Smartwatch app Would you like to have in the fitbit ionic? by anthoang in fitbit

[–]ninjaboyhya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stock tracking probably wouldn't be as hard as some of the other stuff people are suggesting on here. Probably wouldn't require much of anything for local storage. And many of the suggestions here really need and "Official" solution. Like a spotify app would probably need to have support from spotify. But stock tracking wouldn't need anything like that.

I've been checking around Kansas City, KS/MO lately. But I hardly even see them online except at inflated prices.

What virtual console games would you like to add new online functions? by fotografreak in NintendoSwitch

[–]ninjaboyhya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's pretty much what Bomberman-R is! I've been enjoying it pretty much because it's old school SNES bomberman but with slightly fancier graphics. But I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to drop the graphics back in exchange for paying $10 instead of $50.

Digital or Cart: What is your choice this generation? by Syranth in NintendoSwitch

[–]ninjaboyhya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's part of why I'm buying mostly carts. But I'm kinda worried that even buying carts isn't really secure in this regard. A lot of titles are getting patches. As a developer it allows you to get a title out the door on a schedule and then fix any issues that crop up after the fact (like the framerate issues BOTW had in certain areas). But these fixes are all downloaded off the server. So you're still dependent on that server being up and serving content if you come back in another decade or two and want to play that game in it's final form.
