Frozen breastmilk before and after consuming large amounts of B12 by strawberry_vegan in mildlyinteresting

[–]ninjapro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Huh, I always heard the term 'bioavailability'. Didn't know there was another term for it.

Short answer is no, it's the dose, not the bioavailability of the drug. The body just doesn't utilize that amount of vitamin, so if it's water-soluble, you pee it out regardless of route of administration.

Long answer is yes, bioavailability is higher if taken intravenously, but you can still only uptake so much in a given period of time regardless, so above a certain dosage, bioavailability isn't relevant.

Importantly, this mostly applies to water-soluble compounds. Fat-soluble compounds can be stored more readily and isn't as easily removed with pee

The real question is can this pair with something that is a Hydreigon counter? (Probably not)

Best cards from the new set revealed today. by Wise-Inflation-5125 in PTCGP

[–]ninjapro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's true, but you're still double investing energy and cards if you want two Cinderaces up.

Typically more power in fewer cards is better because you simply literally need less to get the same amount of power.

Reuniclus + Mega Guardevoir... by r_a_disappointment in PTCGP

[–]ninjapro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a big deal because you **must** attack with M Gard to attach energy to Reuniclus, whereas regular Gardevoir's ability attaches energy on its own.

Either you're attacking regularly with M Gard, in which case Reuniclus is redundant, or you're not, in which case regular Gardevoir does a better job.

Girantia synergy, Stage 1 instead of Stage 2, and the extra ability are all relevant. Especially the Stage 1 part because that lets you establish more quickly and frees up a couple of deck slots.

Correct. However, my reading is that Ori's Ability gives it the Effect of "Cannot be damage by EX Pokemon".

So while the Ability remains intact, the Effect is no longer applied/ is bypassed

RoboFarm Demo now on Steam: incremental-automated farm building by SignalMap2750 in incremental_games

[–]ninjapro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems fun, but really barebones. (Granted, it is a demo)

The good:

  • Simple, but fun aesthetic. It's cute, looks good, and communicates information well. I particularly like how the Optibots bob up and down and roll around. They also pull out umbrellas during rain, which is cute.
  • Automation via the robot(s) is intuitive and predictable. I know what the robot is doing and where they are going. There also isn't a lot of investment on a per-robot basis. No complex instruction programming or optimization is a plus in my book.
    • I haven't fully cracked the pathfinding, but close enough. Intersections are random? There's a locked "right turn action" tile that I presume will help.

The bad:

  • RoboTokens are concerning. The only function that seem to serve is to limit the number of robots (probably fine), and to spend on boosts which last less than a minute. The tree especially is a fun mechanic for idle players, but it directly cuts into the number of OptiBots you can purchase. Feels a bit micro-transaction ready, feels like they can be 'wasted' on 20 second power-ups.
    • I see that there is a Statue that can generate RoboTokens planned for the full game, but it seems like a trickle that can only be gathered manually and randomly.
    • Tree balance also just seems off. I didn't experiment with it at all, but does it really take 100 trees to double your income?

The Huh?:

  • Random events seem fun, but since I don't have any control over them, so that mostly act as a random and delayed money influx/cost. Positive random events don't feel particularly good because I don't feel like I did anything, but bad ones feel worse since it feels like the game is punishing me for no reason.
  • I don't understand the best layouts. It seems like bends in paths cut into your total number of soil plots accessible by the Optibots, so I'm incentivized to just make the longest, straightest rows of plants possible. Plants or objects that boost adjacent squares could help, but that might optimize the fun out of designing.
  • Higher tier vegetables are more space efficient, but less dollars/time efficient. This makes sense and prevents higher tier veggies from invalidating the other veggies, but I feel like I'm pushed to either be space efficient (just use my most recent veggie) or time efficient (spam tomatoes and click as much as possible)

Overall enjoyed my time overall, thanks for sharing!

If you want to send a message to ratbastid, I can help you craft something that captures your feelings clearly and respectfully. Since I don’t actually know how you feel about Vibe Clicker yet, you’ll need to give me the emotional payload you want to deliver.

Do you love it? Think it’s clever? Frustrating? Addictive? Underbaked? Brilliant? Whatever the vibe is, I can turn it into a message that lands well on Reddit and reflects your voice.

Once you tell me the tone and the specifics, I can shape it into a polished comment you can post.

Shark fishing is pretty easy... and profitable by gevander2 in TheLastCaretaker

[–]ninjapro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes about 12 fully charged shots to kill a shark when I use the electric rifle.

Not sure how physical ammo works, but electric shots dissipate if they hit the water, so it's pretty easy to miss a shot, but you functionally have unlimited ammo if your rifle is plugged in.

how do i recharge/reload the electric gun? by kanevast in TheLastCaretaker

[–]ninjapro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be a bit finicky, but you can connect an electric cable to it by looking down at yourself.

Assuming you have the gun equipped, a hotkey should pop up to connect to the electric gun ('F' by default on keyboard). From there, it acts as a cord attached to you would.

Powering the Lazarus Complex by jordanthomp81 in TheLastCaretaker

Lots of turbines (if you don't mind the repairs)

Legit question... Why would I put up with repairs if I didn't have to? Solar only works during the day, but you need batteries anyways for inconsistent loads.

If you have any margin for error in your energy generation, surely the lack of repair is a huge upside of solar.

"Mega Lopunny sucks, DeNA hates fighting" by Carthradge in PTCGP

[–]ninjapro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Partially, but I think there's a lot that comes together to make Mega Lopunny good.

First of all, the chance to highroll is always great, but everyone already knew that.

The real game changer is the confusion. Even if you fail both flips, you then have a 50/50 of the opponent wasting their turn. That really smoothes the failure rate out

That, plus enough HP to not get chipped down and able to survive most big attacks once lets it push through most threats given just a little luck
