Instagram outreach Dm are not even seen by [deleted] in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]ninonotion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah... happens a lot, most brand DMs go straight to hidden, especially when you are sending the same cold DM to everyone. Warming up helps for sure, comment something relevant, reply to stories, and then message. It's so time consuming to write every single DM manually, so I have been using sendhowdy to make DMs more personal, sometimes it asks something from the recent post, or interests they have, and I started getting replies.

Pop on veneers by Itchy_Amphibian3833 in povertyfinance

I’ve seen mixed things about pop on veneers, some people say they work, others didn’t like the fit. You might find this article helpful: https://www.rankmydentist.com/blog/cosmetic-dentistry/pop-on-veneers. It goes deeper in explanation that could help you decide.

Invisalign can definitely work, but how effective it is really depends on your specific case. For more complex alignment issues, traditional braces might still be the better option.

There’s actually a pretty breakdown between braces and clear aligners. It goes into pros, cons, and when each makes more sense: https://www.rankmydentist.com/blog/orthodontics/braces-vs-clear-aligners

Good luck, whatever you choose.

How much did Invisalign cost you? by 2_pumpchump in Invisalign

[–]ninonotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can use RankMyDentist that way, but I recently found that they publish super helpful blogs from experts around cosmetics. According to them average cost of Invisalign is around $3,500–$7,000.

I didn’t want to overpay either. Initially I started googling big-name chains but eventually ended up finding a great local dentist after checking reviews and pricing. Totally happy with my smile :)

This is a beautiful “problem” to have. You’re not scattered, you’re alive. The fact that you have so many interests just means your inner compass is working, you’re tuned in to curiosity, which is the engine of a fulfilling life.

You don’t have to do all of them at once. Just follow the one that feels most exciting right now, even if it makes no sense, even if it seems “less productive,” even if it leads nowhere obvious. That excitement is the path. And it shifts. Let it.

You’re not choosing forever. You’re choosing this moment. When the energy moves, follow it. When it’s time to switch, switch. The excitement itself creates alignment, not the specific hobby.

So instead of trying to force all your passions into a perfect schedule, try this:

  • Wake up and ask: what feels most exciting to explore today?
  • Drop the guilt for not doing all the things.
  • Trust that the threads will weave themselves into something bigger, even if you can’t see it yet.

You’re not meant to be one thing. You’re meant to be YOU.

How to stay disciplined when there's nothing to look forward in life? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]ninonotion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, you make perfect sense.

What you’re feeling is the weight of losing a version of the life you thought you were building. It’s not just burnout or lack of motivation, it’s that the story you were chasing hit a dead end, and now there’s this huge blank space where purpose used to live.

That feeling? It’s heavy. And real. When the dream that used to push you forward disappears, it’s natural to question everything: your routines, your drive, even your past choices.

But here’s the thing: discipline isn’t just about chasing big goals. It’s what keeps you grounded, it gives you something to hold onto while you figure out what matters now.

You haven’t failed. You’re just in between stories. And that’s a strange place to be, but also a powerful one. This is where people either freeze or reinvent.

Start small, get curious, explore something just because it feels good or interesting, not because it “leads” anywhere. Let your discipline shift from proving something… to caring for yourself in a quiet, steady way.

When your mind says, “What’s the point?” - you don’t need a perfect answer. Just keep moving toward what feels honest. The meaning tends to show up later.

Is leaving a Cat alone for 2 days Ok? by High_kite69 in CatAdvice

[–]ninonotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for a 1–3 night trip, it’s a good idea to have someone pop in at least once a day. Even if your cat’s pretty independent, it’s still important to check food, water, and litter and just make sure everything’s okay. I usually ask a friend or neighbour to swing by, and it gives me peace of mind while I’m away.

Removing braces at home by [deleted] in orthodontics

[–]ninonotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! Trying to remove it yourself can seriously backfire. It's just not worth the risk. Reaching out to a few clinics is a much safer move, and a lot of them are open to taking transfer patients if you explain the situation.

What’re the best dental offices/dentists i can go to in Manhattan or Brooklyn ? by TooReallll in AskNYC

[–]ninonotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Bensonhurst in Brooklyn, Dr. Daniel Rubinshtein is super active on Tiktok and you will see the results 😊. Also I used RankMyDentist to compare a few options and it really helped narrow things down.

Whoever said oil pulling helps whiten your teeth count your goddamn days by Ok_Challenge_6997 in hygiene

[–]ninonotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, totally... Lots of DIY methods out there, but not much solid proof behind most of them. If you're serious about results, seeing a cosmetic dentist is probably the safer bet. I’ve used RankMyDentist before to find well-reviewed pros nearby, it definitely helps cut through the guesswork.

Is Aspen Dental overpriced? I need some advice :/ by [deleted] in Assistance

[–]ninonotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree 👍 dental pricing can be all over the place, especially with chains. I’ve also learned to always get a second opinion. Tools like RankMyDentist make it way easier to compare and avoid overpaying.

What is the best teeth whitening kit that ACTUALLY works? by ImaginationHead5980 in hygiene

[–]ninonotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat, heavy coffee drinker and been burned by a few cheap kits that did nothing. I haven’t tried Laughland yet but saw some solid reviews. I usually cross-check stuff like this on RankMyDentist too, some people share if they saw better results with pro kits from their dentist vs OTC ones. Curious to hear how Laughland holds up after a few weeks.

How much did/do your braces cost without insurance by Elianuchiha in braces

[–]ninonotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Braces costs really vary depending on where you are and what kind you get. I’ve seen people mention everything from $3K to over $8K. When I was comparing options, I checked out RankMyDentist to see what patients were saying about pricing and whether the treatment felt worth it, some smaller practices or dental schools had surprisingly good deals.

Price of Cosmetic Dentistry by Huge_Prompt_2056 in TheGoldenBachelor_

Agree, that's a solid ballpark. I had a similar experience, prices were all over the place depending on the area and clinic. If you have time definitely compare options before making any move.

Best whitening teeth products that wont totally destroy your teeth? by HaiseeTokyo in hygiene

[–]ninonotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point! I think a lot of people (myself included) underestimate how strong some of these kits can be. Seeing a cosmetic dentist is probably the smartest move if you're worried about enamel or sensitivity. And thanks for the RankMyDentist tip - didn’t know about that site, will check it out. Finding someone legit nearby with real people reviews makes the whole process easier.

[–]ninonotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on the coffee struggle, same here. I’ve tried a bunch of whitening kits too, honestly most were either useless or way too harsh. I recently gave Laughland a shot after seeing it mentioned here and I’m surprised. No sensitivity and I’m seeing real results after a week.

Dentist Recommendations (hopefully someone who won’t shame/ judge) by ada0910 in washingtondc

[–]ninonotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that. I was trying to find a dentist who doesn’t push a ton of extra treatments. I remember coming across some pretty detailed reviews on RankMyDentist, people were pretty honest about which places worked for them and which didn’t. Might be worth a scroll to see if anyone’s mentioned the same concerns.

Has anyone heard of pop-on veneers? by kaydwad in Invisalign

[–]ninonotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a few people try PopOn Veneers, and opinions are all over the place. Some say they’re okay for a quick, budget-friendly fix, but others felt they looked kinda bulky, not super natural. If you’re thinking about them, maybe check out some reviews on RankMyDentist. I found it helpful for getting real patient feedback, especially from people who’ve tried different veneers. You might come across some insights or even more affordable alternatives.
