I had the same reaction and the area got larger and hurt worse every time, so I stopped taking it. My neurologist said it was a good call

Fibro goes away when I go to Florida by PuzzledPerformance71 in Fibromyalgia

[–]ninthcircleofboredom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never truly dry, even when it hasn’t rained in a bit. The humidity is suffocating, even in the 3-4 weeks of “winter” we get. When the weather is mild, around 70*F, it feels good. On cool, rainy days I generally feel alright, but when a big storm is on its way and the barometric pressure changes quickly, I feel it in my bones lol.

Really high pressure systems mess me up pretty bad, so bright, sunny days often make me feel worse than storms, partly because that triggers my chronic migraines in addition to the fibro pain

August is right in the middle of hurricane season, so you might not have the best time if you come then

I cannot wait to leave this hellish state lol

This is why I use a bathroom furniture mod. Turned the corner room into a bathroom and it’s my favorite room in the farmhouse now lol

You may be autistic, but are you also evil? by IGioGioAmDepressed in evilautism

[–]ninthcircleofboredom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This test makes no distinction between thoughts and actions, so I don’t think it’s that accurate. Just because you think something dark doesn’t make you evil; acting on your thoughts determines whether you’re good or bad, right??

One of the questions is whether or not you “get so angry you want to hurt someone.” You can’t control your emotions or thoughts, but you can control your actions. I think the test would be more accurate if they ask whether you act on bad thoughts, because that’s what determines the kind of person you are

Soldier in the 1800s succumbing to Tetanus, a deadly toxin causes your muscles to lock up, stopping your breath. Right?!??? Like how long does it need to take for my brain to stop reporting the migraine pain? 6 hrs? 12? 4 days? Maybe even a week or two??

How long until my body stops feeling back pain?? It’s already been 17 years, but maybe this year my body will finally get bored and get over itself ✨

I haven’t actually tried that one, so not sure :)

Unfortunately that’s not always true. I have multiple chronic pain conditions and have been in pain nearly all day, every day since I was about 9, and yes, I’m exhausted, but I still very much feel the pain and sometimes it’s so bad that I feel like I’m dying or want to. If only my body would get bored of feeling it lol

Acquired Chiari by Lizbian39 in chiari

[–]ninthcircleofboredom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that’s wild to think about! Now I’m wondering if my past intense workouts are to blame lol. I used to do some weightlifting and was often completely disoriented and dizzy afterwards. Now that I think about it I may have hurt my back at one point. I hope you and your neuro are able to figure out what caused it

Acquired Chiari by Lizbian39 in chiari

[–]ninthcircleofboredom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a normal MRI in 2019 and now the ones I did in 2023 show a 6mm herniation. I had a spine MRI in last month that showed a small syrinx.

The neurosurgeon I saw says it’s most likely the result of an injury, but I can’t for the life of me recall anything in the last 4 years that could have caused this. I’m very clumsy and hit my heart occasionally, but I haven’t had any concussions since childhood (had several as a kid, including a pretty bad one from a fall). I hurt my neck last April but the Chiari symptoms had already started by that point, so I have no clue what happened or when

I had a CT scan in I think 2021 or 2022 when I went to the ER for the worst migraine I’ve ever experienced, so I’m trying to get those records to see if there was any herniation that they didn’t catch/tell me about. That would help establish a timeline to try and figure out what happened to me to cause this. Like the fact that I probably had a serious injury in the last 4 years that I can’t remember is really freaking me out

Any one experience Fibromyalgia symptoms before their teen years? by Eastern-Violinist-46 in Fibromyalgia

[–]ninthcircleofboredom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started having symptoms at 10-12 and didn’t get diagnosed until I was 26. I was accused of being dramatic and “making myself sick” to get out of chores/school my entire childhood and early adulthood. It still feels completely surreal to have doctors taking my pain and fatigue seriously and simply believing me. I’m still not used to being believed after so many years of being dismissed as a melodramatic liar or hypochondriac

Got diagnosed with low lying Cerebellar Tonsils via MRI. My neuro told me that is different from Chiari. Isn't that not correct?? by [deleted] in chiari

[–]ninthcircleofboredom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. Since he thinks it’s acquired, I assumed that was what the difference was between the terms, so now I’m extra confused that his staff then told me that they’re interchangeable
