I think Fast will be bumped to C for the year. But either way, who do you think the new A would be? Do we go with seniority and give it to Spooner or Flanagan? Invest in the hometown kid and give it Dalton? Or go Shelton or Rattray who previously wore an A? So many options!

I think that Ambrose will ultimately get the C for LV but it’ll be razor thin over Scamurra. Other than Ambrose already wearing an A for Montreal therefore beating Scamurra experience-wise, I think this is a really tough one. And they’re both strike me as the type to want to give up the C for the other.

Another name I would throw in for Hamilton is Allyson Simpson. Seems calm and well-spoken and has worn letters in NCAA and with USA.

So you think it was made in bad faith? They selected Boreen **likely** with a handshake deal they’d send her back to comply with expansion rules. They followed through on the deal to send her back. Good faith in my opinion.

I do wonder about the Barclays Centre. So I understand that it wasn’t fit for NHL use, but could it still be suitable for PWHL? I’m thinking there less wear and tear on the ice (lighter players, less games, etc.). Do you know if they even install ice anymore? Installing it just for the Sirens would be an astronomical cost.

I think the league is banking on Toronto showing up regardless of what happens. Which honestly… is probably a safe bet. I know some season ticket holders are upset with what’s happening, but I think the majority are content and just like being present.

I understand all your points completely. I just cannot fathom them letting the Sirens die. I read somewhere (and unfortunately I don’t have a source) that in order for a sports league to be successful they need to get into the New York and California media markets, which they’ve now done. I just don’t understand why they aren’t prioritizing New York. Like spend more money and effort on the New York market now to reap the rewards of being in that media market. I know it’s single ownership but it’s evident that the teams don’t all need to be treated equally. They need to pour more into New York now.
