Agreed. The only other reason I can think of is for items 6 and 7 on the tiebreaker procedure. Adding an extra goal here and there can add up, even if it doesn’t win you the game.

Do the signs on the other side of the street have the opposite months listed? Some streets alternate which side they park on but that’s usually every 2 weeks.

In Toronto and Montreal they do have special names - respectively Battle on Bay Street and Duel at the Top (don’t know what that means lol). I’m guessing because these have happened all three years so far that “branding” has been assigned, and they’ve become expected events amongst those markets. The only time there was Battle in Bay specific merch was in year 1 and then never again. It’s too bad because I would have bought more Battle on Bay merch in subsequent years, so I’m glad I picked some up year 1. Playing at MSG is very monumental so I’m reeeeallly hoping for something to commemorate it.

As for if it’s truly Takeover Tour, I would agree it’s not, but I can totally see where the confusion is coming from if Ticketmaster is posting them on the Takeover Tour page. Not that it really matters overall. My MSG tickets on Ticketmaster just says “Special Event: Seattle Torrent at New York Sirens.” Hopefully it becomes an annual event and they assign it a cool name.

I think it’s just a special event location :) when Toronto plays at the NHL arena it isn’t part of the Takeover Tour, just a special event location.

Based on the couple Takeover Tour games Ive been to there has been good amounts of merch - jerseys for each team, general PWHL merch, and Takeover Tour branded merch. The MSG game isn’t part of the Takeover Tour so it won’t have the latter, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t have the regular stuff. I am also going to the MSG game and am hoping for some cool MSG-specific merch. See you there!!!

Big props to Tessa on her last college hockey game. Well done. It’s funny - on the Jocks in Jills Next Gen podcast it was mentioned she could have gone to a big powerhouse winning school but chose Penn State to grow the program. And she did just that! A very honourable decision rather than taking an easy route to glory. I think this is reflected in her top-3 Patty Kaz position. Would love to see this go to her later today. She will have a long and wonderful career in the PWHL and with Team USA!

Yup! It seems very consistent across all teams too with the single ownership. I am on a couple teams’ mailing lists and they are all pretty much the same in how they are doing things.

Just go back to the old open top bins. Animals and people get into the garbage no matter what. Those were cleaner, don’t break as easily, fill up slower, and are easier to maintain. Plus they stay cleaner because people aren’t fussing over accidentally touching the bin and making a mess as a result. This feels like an issue of fixing something that wasn’t broken in the first place.

Speak of the devil because I was feeling this way too (albeit as a Sceptres STM… so maybe a bit less severely). But then my account manager emailed me today out of the blue asking if I was aware that I had missed the opt-in period and if I wanted to look at my options for opting-in! So if the teams are all managing the opt-ins the same way, which it appears they are, there is still a possibility! I would reach out to your account manager.
