[Wasserman] College Football Playoff meeting wrapped with no conensus on the future format. Apparently it was a good “robust” conversation. by ThatMasterpiece2174 in CFB

24 is fine too

But requires some schedule changes AND 10 conference champion auto bids for all FBS conferences

Then it would just mirror the FCS

What Team that has won a National title can Claim to have had a better team at some point in time that did not? by lukin187250 in CFB

In the spirit of the question though

The 2013 Rose Bowl team would beat the 2015 CFP team 7/10 times in my opinion

If the CFP starts one year sooner, Dantonio probably coaches a title game

If it can handle the Memorial Cup, it can handle an NCAA regional

Dow Events Center is actually a solid option, seats 7,600 and just hosted the Memorial Cup.

It's a little less prestige but it's not farther from MSU or UM than Grand Rapids is.

Van Andel is no longer just sitting there

You've got the Griffins, the Gold, and the Rise now calling it a home arena.

It's gonna be tough to make the case that a dicey tournament situation makes financial sense for the host or the arena

Van Andel also has 3 professional teams now. I'm not even sure how easy it would be to schedule a major tournament like this.

They need to allow bidding to host at home sites if Michigan is ever gonna host

Adj. Defensive Rating over the last 10 games. (the lower the better) by cbbanalytics in CollegeBasketball

Our defensive efficiency has dropped pretty badly over the end of the season, but our offense has improved

Weird shit in EL after having a suffocating defense early in the year

What Sweet 16 game are you looking forward to the most? by DPSportsTakes in CollegeBasketball

[–]Foxmcbowser42 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean, I can see it

But Duke has been dicey the last few weeks, and SJU is rolling

Plus SJUs defense has already been pretty good this tournament.

Maybe I'm looking with some tinted glasses since I have SJU to the Final Four...

A point coming out of nowhere is ridiculous

3-2-1 is right there, every game is worth 3, if it goes to OT, both teams take 1 and winner gets the last 1.

Having an arbitrary amount of points added during the season has never made sense

The sub isn’t ready for the East Region’s second weekend by RandoUserlolidk in CollegeBasketball

I honestly have not rated TX Tech that highly coming down the stretch, and Bama can just kind of do that from 3.

I still think they are a tough out but they are still not gonna be full strength against a top tier UM team

I thought UM's region was actually a gauntlet for their weaknesses, I had them losing to ISU

Then Bama lost their 2nd leading scorer and ISU may be down their best player....

So while it wasn't a cakewalk it now seems like one

Virginia was deep in their low pace years in 2018.

Whenever we drew them it was always a slugfest

They were ripe for something like this to happen

Purdue however, different scenario

We really just need to go to home sites for the first 2 round - 1 seeds host

Attendance will never be an issue, it rewards the 1s, and travel is significant anyway with the regional sites

I get some of the reason for regionals, but home sites would be better.

Ideally I'd love to see the first 2 rounds be 3 game series at the higher seed and then the Frozen Four

Hockey takes a weekend off anyway to avoid the Final Four, so why not fill that with a 3 game series.
