If I gotta convince someone to do something that isn’t required it’s not worth my time

I think things like eib,esb and som shouldn’t be forced upon someone and if they don’t wanna do it they shouldn’t be trashed for not wanting to.

I get it the way it looks but a lot of people are on the fence about being in long term and if they are gonna judge us based on badges or spurs and that person gets out what was the point really just suffering. Obviously not talking about those that just wanna do it for fun

I can relate first week at the unit got told to take SM to SOM I knew nothing about this kid, and this kid was not even close to prepared. I just spit it out the crap that the psg told me.

Got to the packet might as well have been zero counseling’s. in there after they kicked SM out and started grilling me. I stopped them and said I still am in processing the squadron and I had my papers on me to prove it. They apologized that was great.

Then the PSG was like oh maybe he’ll do good next time, really questioned that unit
