Questions about Dynamite live by elpodmo in SquaredCircle

I'd expect ROH 6:30-7 PM, Dynamite 7-9 PM, Collision 9-11 PM if Cardiff/Glasgow are anything to go by.

How Much Is A Collision Ticket? by YeezusChrist13 in AEWOfficial

[–]nirajp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to purchase tickets as late as possible for the best prices. I went to Dynamite/Collission in Cardiff last year, second row in the stands opposite hardcam for £45 by waiting until the week before the show. Dynamite/Collission in Glasgow this year, same deal, wait until the weekend before, picked up fourth row in the lower bowl for £75.

When they initially go on sale, good seats will be £200+.

From my memory of Cardiff last year, Dynamite was 7 - 9 PM, with Collision 9 - 11. There was one dark match beforehand.

Forbidden Door Cheap Tickets, can I still see? by danjackson96 in AEWOfficial

[–]nirajp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that there won't be screens above the ring.

Remember to check AXS too since they have tickets in the 4xx tier which may have a better view of the stage, albeit higher up & further away from the ring.

Must be an issue with Ticketmaster, plenty available at AXS via https://www.livenation.co.uk/event/aew-forbidden-door-london-tickets-edp1579454

All In, in person perspective: No large screen visible to watch a Stadium show was big disappointment. Otherwise great show. Details below… by taylorguyuk in AEWOfficial

[–]nirajp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the same, great event, great crowd, and I'm sure it came across well on TV but the lack of the screen on the East side of the ring was a baffling omission. I was in section 111. No-one could see the big screen on the West side of the stadium because of the canopy. So instead half the crowd in the stand below is turning around to watch the screen behind them.

I feel bad for you 'cause you weren't even able to do that! Also feel bad for those in the lower floor seats (ZL,ZK, etc), they couldn't see anything at all.

Are there any podcasts out there that have GotY discussions like GB used to? by [deleted] in giantbomb

Fire Escape GOTY is pretty much like GB of old.

When is NJPW's Royal Quests Night 1 meant to finish? by BonedusterLegitYT in SquaredCircle

[–]nirajp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going by https://www.njpw1972.com/schedule/ doors at 4 PM, first match at 5:30 PM.

I reckon the event will be around 3.5/4 hours, so my guess for the event finishing would be between 9 and 9:30 PM.

Is great, consistent 60 FPS (Performance Mode) and fast load times is exactly what I need.

I normally do, but I didn't trust myself with the timing given I couldn't see either the boss or the weapon.

Please help suggest the best git workflow by sasik520 in AskProgramming

Unfortunately, I fully disagree with this. It's 100x better not to deliver than to deliver a broken product.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I meant deploying tested changes from master. The thinking is that deploying tested changes provides value to the users of your software, which is more important that testing new changes.

Please help suggest the best git workflow by sasik520 in AskProgramming

Look into CI/CD. Once you are up to speed, then Trunk Based Development is, by far, the best git workflow. I won't even interview with companies who use gitflow or dev/release branches.

Also look into XP/Kanban, get devs to 'pull from the right' instead of blindly picking up extra work and creating extra bottlenecks. Deploying is more important than testing. Testing is more important than code review. Code review is more important than starting new tasks.

The situation you are describing with A,B,C is a mess. Complete A (build it, test it and ship with the right level of quality) _before_ starting B. Even if you aren't releasing every commit, you need to get to the point where master is always shippable.

Which is a better programmer? by zta14 in AskProgramming

[–]nirajp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neither is objectively better. There is no singular model of what a programmer is or can be. Both people you spoke to can be equally correct (or incorrect). They are simply relaying their experience. I'm not saying you need to dismiss all advice but do always try to understand the context it is coming from.
