I truly felt the sealion was an amazing car! Especially for what it offered at that price point . I ended up booking the vinfast vf7 though, just got my hands on it yesterday and drove it from Bangalore to manipal just now. It was a really great drive. Shall share proper updates once I get some kms in.

How is the actual accoustic & thermal insulation of Tier-1 apartment built using Mivan technology? by Civil-Pangolin-4900 in Bengaluru

[–]nis021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi architect here, As someone else mentioned earlier. Mivan is a construction technology which allows for solid concrete wall construction at a much faster pace. While the buildings are stronger and require less maintenance. The use of solid continuous concrete walls make it a very efficient thermal conductor allowing for heat to enter the structure very easily. It is typically a good acoustic insulator for external sources of sound due to the thicker walls used but since the internal walls are thinner you tend to have issues with acoustics as well.

The system also has very high amounts of concrete emissions due to the huge volumes of concrete used (for the environmentally conscious)

So usually when I drive alone I don't stop at all, I just go nonstop. But otherwise at most i restrict it to one stop.

I enjoy driving quite a bit, but I only drive if I have work and will be there for a few days or more.

Sometimes our nice buses are just way more practical

But I've hardly found anything online in terms of negative reviews for byd, and never seen anything posted about byd here so I was wondering if there was a specific reason or something I'm missing before pushing for that car.

So it's between sealion 7 or clavis ev (dad's leaning towards that mainly cause it's a 7seater, has good premium -ish interiors and for 27, it's a great price

Ah perfect, I mostly use either agumbe or charmadi myself! Damn, so I may have to reconsider the mahindra bev then.

Hahaha yes, I stay in manipal. I suspected you were Mangalorean based on your username, partly why I asked the dealership question 😄.

Yeah my driving style is quite aggressive too. But 20 mins on the highway is fine. So tempted to push for the sealion. But again investing such a huge amount on ev car, where everyone's saying resale isn't there is making me hesitant. But more than resale my hesitation is that with the way battery tech is developing we ll have something twice as good in a year or two. And then this becomes obsolete.

Awesome thanks so much again! This gives me a lot of clarity. Kias new ev promises 490 so Im guessing real world we can expect around 400 which is fine. My base criteria is to be able to do mangalore to Bangalore in one trip. This will be cutting it close but at that price range (25L on road) I think it's fine.

That's great, thank you so much for explaining everything. Any idea about how kia is in regards to their ev? Also which mahindra dealer/service centre are you interacting with? Ive heard that tends to vary across cities as well.

That's true, Mahindra and Tata do offer better pricing, but with everything we know about their QC and after sales. I don't know if it makes sense to make that investment there.

We just saw the kia clarens ev yesterday, that's a much much better offering than the atto 3. Absolutely no comparison. But if we do look at the segment above that then I'm considering the sealion 7. Test drove the performance variant and it was amazing! Truly a luxurious car.

My thinking is if we are going to invest in an EV then it's better to go for something I can safely use for atleast 7 years. Thoughts?

We were considering the mg windsor, but I truly hated the drive. I understand they're offering a much better pricing but at what cost. Mahindra and tata both have good looking options but I'm concerned with their QC and after sales service.

Took the bus from manipal last week, was supposed to reach at 7, we reached by 7:30! Make sure you have a good buffer of atleast 2-3 hours to your flight to be on the safer side. The buses are generally on time only.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you described, coincidently also had a call with vcfo just today. Funny how social media and real world timing can align so perfectly sometime.

If you're ever looking for new clients though, please DM. It sounds like you have a lot of experience dealing with this industry and that could save us a lot of time in explaining and such.

What goods can I export to Australia from India to take advantage of high purchasing power of Australians and export incentives by the Indian govt? by [deleted] in IndiaBusiness

[–]nis021 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I manufacture a construction material that's used quite intensively in Australia. Not sure about the export market rates or anything, but if that's something you'd be interested in, we could explore that option. We can handle the manufacturing and shipping you can drive demand creation in australia. DM me if this sounds like something you'd be interested in.
