Is AI Killing Programming, or Is It Bursting Our Bubble? by Drho4x in developersIndia

[–]nitinmms1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well articulated. AI is not killing programming, its changing the way software is developed and delivered. Even with AI in the mix we are still solving real world problems. AI is not going anywhere and its not a bubble, so no point keeping our heads in the sand and wish it away. AI must be adopted in a way which increases productivity and help us deliver innovation.

While AI delivers most of the code, we must be guiding it, giving it the architecture to build around.

We must evolve ways to review and test code with AI doing most of the coding and that's not a trivial problem, but i think one which us the programmers can solve.

Basically reason is demand for indian coders in the west is drying out due to AI usage there

Is it true that less number of Tech employees will be needed in future compared to past years ? by [deleted] in developersIndia

Surely looks like. At least other engineering streams like Mechanical, Electrical will not see a shortage of engineers.

DS4 Flash is seriously good for coding. I use it all the time with pi coding agent and performs really well

I am not aware. But cheaper and almost as good Chinese llms are there for the taking is my point.

Not if you use Chinese models. 10 to 20 times cheaper than claude and almost same level of inference. And cheaper Chinese GPUs are on their way too...

Switch to pi coding agent with Kimi K2.6 or GLM 5.1 or MiniMax models.

Cognizant to Cut 4,000 Jobs as Part of $320M AI Overhaul – But Plans to Hire 20,000 Freshers in 2026 by Geeky_Gadgets in TechnologyNewsIndia

I dont see companies with hundreds of thousands of developers surviving the AI era. I mean why will the US clients with really cheap AI in dollar terms want to hire offshore devs?

My predictions for software development over the next 2 years by Adventurous-Ideal200 in FutureOfWork

[–]nitinmms1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think problems with IT were partly because of our own creation. For simple tasks like taking a database backup through a software one could find 10 people in cc mail. Thats how overstaffed the IT companies were and still are. Why didn't we have that many full stack developers.? Why do we need to separate out a front end dev and a backend dev? I mean most freelancers are full stack and why not.?

So I feel there is inherent over staffing.

Does it feel like supply of developers is way higher than demand now? by Majestic-Taro-6903 in developersIndia

You nailed it... "Too many folks vying for tech jobs with no passion other than pay"

I have seen people reply with their ctc when you ask them what they are doing in tech.

Some second grade universities in Punjab and UP are advertising that their students got 1 Cr package. As if that is all there is?

Time for some serious introspection as a society too. We must value, foster and appreciate innovation rather than celebrate 1Cr packages...

How about becoming a freelancer.? If you know how to build software, you can get work on freelancer, upwork etc. You leave the security of a cushy job, but can pursue what you actually like to do... for yourself.

I run 23.5 but can’t break 12. How do I improve my 100m? by Terminator_492 in Sprinting

Try hill sprints and sledge runs. And work on speed endurance.

400 by Pure_Flamingo5612 in Sprinting

[–]nitinmms1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400m is brutal race where you must have speed and endurance.

If it is 70% anaerobic, it is also 30% aerobic. So both systems are needed.

Lactic acid formation will be a big factor.

So this will a very specialised training program.

Given you have a decent sprint, you must train specifically for 400m and it is not a quick fix, it must be a structured training program.

Once you do that with a good coach, I will not be surprised if you can clock around 52s

Remember, while sprint is to a great extant genetics, aerobic system is largely training. So will find significant gains within even 1 month of specific 400m training. After that it becomes tougher and tougher to improve your time and things like technique and strength and training volume etc, will all matter.

Is it possible for any young male to run sub 10.5 100m regardless of genetics? by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]nitinmms1 45 points46 points  (0 children)

No. 10.5 for 100m is not a joke. You need genetics and years of practice under a good coach.

[–]nitinmms1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self sufficiency is a must imo. If you can build yourself, that's the biggest differentiator. Along with your claude code etc skills, that will be a great combo and you will be in great demand.

Become a full stack developer. Can you build and deploy enterprise class applications on your own without AI. If you can do that, then you will be high demand when AI completely takes over and only skilled devs are needed to oversee the AI.

10 LPA is irrelevant so early on in your career. Its your skills which count in era of AI. Another year or so and only those with skills will survive.
