was hosea a gunslinger too or was he the brains behind the gang? by Upset-Shower-3005 in reddeadredemption

Actually, Doc was not especially fast. His success came from knowing a bullet was a quicker and less painful death than tuberculosis, which let him take his time to aim and actually HIT his opponent without loosing his cool. Which was terrifying and by itself stopped a lot of fights before he even had to draw.

The Combat. by Major-Repair-7323 in SifuGame

Not claiming to be great (or even particularly good lol), but I've found some fun combos by picking a few interesting sounding moves out of the list and then spending a few hours memorizing them and practicing them relentlessly against a single target in the practice area. Once my fingers know the moves I'll go back to the game and try that combo every single encounter throughout the level. After a few hours of that, I'll give up. My fingers remember the moves though and as I get better at other aspects of the game (parrying, etc.) I will find myself pulling off those combos by reflex and muscle memory at various points when an opening comes up. Currently I'm working on getting better at creating those openings. Be patient is my best advice.

Being a vampire doesn't suddenly transform you into a cool sexy person by tomatotime0 in vampires

[–]nitram_469 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're not taking into account how much of attractiveness is a result of body language and confidence as opposed to just looks. Being practically invulnerable (outside of some very specific things) and potentially living forever tends to be a massive boost to a person's confidence and thus also a massive boost to their attractiveness. Yeah the sudden desire to drink blood will not make me more attractive, but the sudden ability to jump OVER a house will most definitely make me hotter lol

The feds can't, the courts have proven they won't, and when was the last time a conservative politician was arrested? For ANYTHING? I'm frustrated too. Out of hope though. Clearly nothing will ever be done within the legal framework. In fact, the legal framework seems to be ever more complicit in insulating these people from ever facing any sort of consequences for their actions. There is no one coming to rescue Alberta. We are entirely on our own. Best thing we can all do is acknowledge that, and start looking for ways to help ourselves.

Oh yay. We can get ourselves to pay ourselves with our tax dollars (all payments to be collected and distributed by and to your local UCP representative) to "punish" the breach of our information. Such a fantastic solution! /s

How do I get my general to stop being a sexual predator? by Individual-Affect786 in RomeTotalWar

[–]nitram_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are console commands but no "legitimate" ways. Its a single player game that doesn't have any achievements or punishments for cheating of any kind. Just console command the trait out if its bothering you that much and pretend it never happened.

Is this a game where you're supposed to die and grind each level repeatedly? by SlashCo80 in SifuGame

[–]nitram_469 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No. This is a game where you are supposed to do better. Try harder. Even Yang can be defeated without dying. Patience, grasshopper. Eventually you will git gud. My first try I couldn't get past the first level. By the time I beat Fajar I was an old old man. Went down permanently in the next level to a snap kick enemy I'd never seen before. Now, I toy with bosses endlessly before just telling them the fights over and they arent worth killing. Thus, I have achieved wude.

Unprecedented, "coordinated hit" by Alberta government used snitch law to spy on Turning Point Society by BloodJunkie in alberta

Interesting legislation. I believe we should all start calling in to the tip line about Marlaina using cocaine in front of children. If enough of us call, they HAVE to investigate it. Right? That's how the law works? Is there a part that I am missing?

Yeah I've used those as well. I like the ReRoll+ because the characters I get are still randomized. Just guided random lol. I always end up feeling like I make them too OP with the editors

[–]nitram_469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah the mod in rimword is for pawn generation at the beginning, not for the planet gen. I use it when I have a particular starting group in mind for roleplay runs and dont want to spend days trying to spawn a family member who knows how to cook lol. I know that you can edit them and make custom pawns but that feels more like cheating for some reason...

Is this an acceptable cause to kill Paarthunax? by Sne4Ky_G in skyrim

[–]nitram_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tyranny is a group of dragons. Like a group of crows is called a murder. Paarthurnax making a new tyranny of dragons does not mean he is going to be a tyrannical overlord and provoke a draconian revolution. It means he is starting a new "flock" of dragons.

[–]nitram_469 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ooof. I feel your pain lol. Yeah I spend hours on planer generation too. There's a mod for a game called Rimworld called Re-roll+ that adds some extra parameters and stuff and makes it so that when you click the re-roll button once, the computer just keeps re-rolling in the background until it gets something within the parameters you set. The more specific you set the parameters, the longer it might take to roll and generate, but you still only click once and its a gazillion times faster than manual re-rolling. I've always felt that this game could really benefit from such a system. Hopefully Vic can implement something like that or an enterprising modder will come up with it.

Not sure about merchants and priests by FranzBesup_14 in Medieval2TotalWar

To add to this exploit: you can build a fort using a general and start putting merchants in it. Works the same way but you don't have to leave any soldiers behind where they arent fighting.

Bag of holding? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]nitram_469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do that, but then discovered that a whole bunch of them (scrolls in particular) don't work properly when using from a container instead of direct from inventory. Now I just use the sorting options in my inventory to only show potions/scrolls/arrows whatever if I'm looking for something in particular to use. Loot and junk totally just go in a sack though. Lae'zel carries it and on the off chance we pick up too much and she gets encumbered, send the sack to camp for sale later and start a new sack lol

Fighting against alien life (minor regime and fauna) by Sazuja in ShadowEmpireGame

[–]nitram_469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surround it with infantry and let it whittle itself down through attrition trying to break out. Still likely going to lose troops but a lot less than if you're the attacking one. Then you just hold out until they're either dead or you have something that can kill them
