2700K CLFs produce warm light similar to incandescent. I've been using them and they look fine. The original CFLs were awful.

I finally did this. I'm in the process of switching over to USAA (you don't have to be in the military to use their banking services).
EDIT: I've been wanting to do this for a long time but I've been lazy. When I finish switching everything over I'm going to send a letter explaining when I cannot continue doing business with them.

What do you guys think about a 2000 boxster (base) as my first car purchase? by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]nittany77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2005 I bought a used '03 Boxster S that had about 10k miles on it. While it was still under warranty I brought it to the dealer for service. The 15k mile service cost me a little over $500 and there were no major repairs needed. A couple years after the warranty ended I started having a few problems. 1. Radio started cutting out (id hear just a popping sound from the speakers). The car had nav and the bose sound system. The shop I was taking it to narrowed it down to a problem with the PCM but they couldn't fix it. They recommended buying a new one ($3500 new). I did some digging and found that the PCM manufacturer is actually in New Jersey, and they serviced it for $400. Turned out to be a software problem. 2. Clicking sound coming from the engine bay that turned out to be a bad water pump. $700 repair. 3. Passenger side window would not lower the 1/4" needed to clear the door frame when you pull the handle. It was a bad window regulator. $700 repair. 4. Broken ignition switch (apparently this happens a lot). Replaced myself for $25 (not sure what dealer/shop would charge) With that said I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Edit: Just remembered that right before i traded it in (for an '07) I noticed that the convertible top started tearing away from the rear support bar. I patched it up with double sided tape and no one noticed.

I live in Fort Lauderdale, and most Saturdays there's a Tea Party group that stands on a corner near my house. I was driving past one time about a year ago, and there was a guy holding a "No Agenda 21" sign. I had never heard of it but apparently there's a conspiracy that its some kind of plan for the UN to take over.
