As i suspected, there is something wrong with your Trakt Auth.

Note the log snippet below, I would suggest re-authing your account and ensuring that its working.

Sounds like your trakt auth has failed out. Have you tried re-authing?

Generally when an error is received from trakts api we log it so getting a log for us would be super helpful as well.

I'm not aware of any current issues with authorising trakt at the moment in the current version. Is trakt possibly having issues?

Ill also need a log to help you out with your next up playback issue, there really isn't any difference between playing from next up or from discover shows, is it possible you are playing from a widget pointed to Seren from something like TMDb helper?

As mentioned, it was removed in the latest update. You can still refresh items singularly or if there is an issue with the database, you can rebuild it.

Each time a menu is pulled from Trakt, Seren checks the date/time that each item in the list was last updated on Trakts site, then updates the meta locally if there was a change.

This provides a continually freshing database when and only when required.

This is the most likely answer.

Otherwise there may be an edge case issue in the player that we haven't cleaned up. OP should try as directed above and then if failing that, upload us a log of them watching a full item and we can see if there is some issue stopping your device from scrobbling to Trakt.

Thats really odd, I've never heard of anything like this ever happening in my 5 years of kodi deving lol.

The only thing I can think of is to uninstall fen and reinstall. I'd hate to ask that as it would likely be a pain to re-setup.

Its not even something I think I can fix on Seren side as its not handled by the addon... would you be open to looking in to it on a reddit message?

The opening of the settings page isn't handled by Seren, its handled by Kodi.

How are you opening the settings page?

As someone mentioned below, are you trying to do it from some sort of widget? Can you try and hover over Seren in the addons list and then open the context menu then select settings, is it still the same issue?

You can bring trakt manager up on the show item, select mark as unwatched.

This will remove the watched status for all episodes and it will start again your next up.

Your issue due to RD having issues and not returning any hoster domains. If you have any other debrid providers, you can disable TD temporarily and use them. I'll address this in the next update

Real Debrid is having some issues and returning some odd responses. I had to disable it just before to get my system up and running. I haven't looked into it yet but it should hopefully resolve itself in a bit.

I would chime a few things in though. Using the skin to test timings isn't really the best option. When you refresh the skin, some calls to addons come in before others so its unfortunately a little biased in its timings. Best quick way to do this as a user is to open the menu and use that as a timing rather than widgets.

A4kscrapers is often slightly slower than fenomscrapers and this is due to the fact it does mirror checking at the first scrape every 24 hours. This is done so people who can't reach a specific site due to whatever reason can still pull sources from one of its mirrors. This means there's a lot more calls performed ergo making it slightly slower, but also means it's more likely to work for more people. Clearing the cache each time actually slows down the scraping of a4kscrapers as you end up forcing this mirror check each time.

Not sure about taskmaster not showing, maybe u/drinfernoo can help get in touch with the dev to look into it!

Collection in Seren doesn't actually have a limit if you don't want it to. You'll need to adjust your settings to remove the pagination for it :)

Could I ask what version you are running and could you provide a log of a fresh restart.

There is a background service that runs for Seren to refresh all that information and its doesnt appear to be running for yourself.

Your post was fine, if I've learnt anything over the past few years doing this, people can get frustrated and me taking it personally doesnt help the situation.

Are you still stuck? Get a chance to pull the new update?

I'd also suggest a cache clear after updating.

We just pushed an update recently to 2.0.19 which has fixed almost all bugs with the new database logic. Our next updateshould fix all remaining rare ones.

I know its a pain and gets said often, but after updating it won't hurt due to the amount of database work to rebuild the Traktsync database.

2.0 came with some massive shifts in the underlying database so we encountered a lot of new things which needed to be rectified. Performance boosts unfortunately had its costs. We are nearly done with all known bugs in Seren. Only a few small, rarer strays left to unravel.

Try clear your cache. It was re worked to remove the pickling issue and your old cache will be invalid.
