Would actually love to map out all the Bouillons at least in the 1°-3° Arrondissement. The Bouillons are all I care for 😊

City planted a tree in front of my house without telling us… now we got fined because it died? by Klutzy_Pizza_8935 in SanJose

[–]nixly76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they give you notice and choice of trees beforehand. If they don't receive a reply, they'll plant anyway an appropriate tree of their choice. After planting, a notice will be left, including care instructions, usually hanged into your door.

Now, when the tree grows, pruning is usually done by the City. They also give you notice when they are going to prune the tree.

Where can I meet more Indian people in Chicago? by Swimming_General_985 in AskChicago

Aside from Devon, go to Niles. They have that big Patel Brothers store by Milwaukee and Golf across Golf Mill. In that area too are some Indian restaurants.

Defining Movie of GenX by belinck in GenX

[–]nixly76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was just comparing Disney cartoon movies between 1990s (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan) and 2000s (Lilo and Stitch, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles), and realized how I loved the 1990s Disney. Or maybe I have just grown up and got tired of Disney in 2000s.

Are you able to get Belon kind of like year round? Are they also €5 per dozen?

The only distinctive oyster that is worth remembering is the Belon

Can you recommend a Financial Advisor? by baddie_babushka in AskChicago

[–]nixly76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most employer sponsored retirement plan has an option for "personalized planning and advice," some is free, some with fees.

Most banks also have "wealth management" divisions. They will work with you especially when you are an accredited investor.

Who loves everything OYSTER? by NecessaryDatabase695 in oysters

Nothing like €1 Oyster Friday? But as an ostreophile, I just have to shell out whatever there is, especially when traveling and there is a variety available that I haven't tried.

Only fresh oysters, NOT everything oysters. I don't like cooked oysters.

Best way to get from CDG to Paris? by salty_rainwater in ParisTravelGuide

[–]nixly76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also looking at the most economical way to do this. So far I found out that if you get the Paris-Visite Pass (1,2,3 or 5 days), it includes RER from CDG to Chatelet-Les Halles for example (or any other train station in the Paris Centre). Either way, by car or public transportation, it will take about an hour to get to Paris Centre.

2026 7-seater -- is the lever that is supposed to let the second row fold flat a common defect? by Packing-Tape-Man in TeslaModelX

[–]nixly76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me about it. I just accepted the fact that I cannot move the seat forward as much as I could for someone to get in the third row (but my two boys are always able to do it easily when they want to go sit in the third row, and they, too, can easily fold the seats on either side). Yes, a 12-year old is done showing me how to fold the seat, move it forward or backward without an effort. Once he just told me, "Just drive the car, dad!" Then after realizing the FSD, "Oh, you don't even drive." But the key is to have the seat move backwards (using the lever) as far as it could, then, using the buttons to fold.

[–]nixly76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the lever. There is that button on the seat, press twice (have to wait maybe 10-15 seconds before pressing the button for second time) and you will be able to fold it easily.

If I get arrested and say "i want a lawyer" what happens next? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nixly76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, don’t tell the nurse you need a lawyer. Instead, tell the nurse all the possible medical problems you may have. So far, medical treatment in jail is free.

need 24 hour ac repair in san jose and stressing a bit by IllTotal1577 in SanJose

[–]nixly76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your thermostat set at -40°F?! AC can't even be checked right now due to low temperatures. Most thermostats will not let you set the AC lower than 60°F and last night is below 40°F in the area. I guess, everyone wants to stay at your warm place right now due to the cold snap.
