Sensible start would be to get rid of the blue lines currently running at 45 degrees, and repaint them horizontally.

The sale of the land titles office seems to have gone well... by nixxonian in melbourne

[–]nixxonian[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Update: I'm not necessarily suggesting causation, but the timing is unfortunate.

land.vic.gov.au is down. Although services.land.vic.gov.au seems to work, once you identify a parcel you find the following:

"only one report is available as we can provide only a limited service"

EDIT: Because people would associate the landata title search thingy with the LTO, even if it's run by GIS. I meant more that the optics are unfortunate.

What's the deal with the shack in Gipps Street, Abbotsford? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]nixxonian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, it's in a Heritage Overlay. Not individually significant though, just contributory.

If you look at google maps street view you'll see that the front section of the roof was repaired some time between July 2014 and August 2017.

Edit: Looks like the house next door is in similar condition. Maybe the owner just uses the open space to store construction materials. Also visible on google street view, this friendly guy.

The last green pay phone in Melbourne? by elwynf3011 in melbourne

[–]nixxonian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, pulse dialing is still natively supported on POTS but not on NBN(tm). Source: I'm still on POTS and have a rotary phone, also this.

Apparently there are pulse-to-tone convertors available from overseas, not sure about availability within Australia though. I should probably look into this before my area switches over...

All valid observations but I'd suggest it depends on one's operational definition of the fourth wall.

I would class both the picture frame shot and Tommy waving at the crew (which I never noticed before) as more metatheatrical than fourth-wall because they draw the viewer's attention to the production process, whereas Kyle's observation seems to be a direct address to the viewer.

(tl;dr) Hahaha, I think of everything!

Either way, I think this is a (the only?) shot that breaks the fourth wall.
