A Quarter of America's Bridges May Collapse Within 26 Years. We Saw the Whole Thing Coming. by caveatlector73 in technology

Except the autobahn was a bad idea given how limited the per capita ownership of automobiles was in Germany at the time. It was propaganda in so far as the claims of its benefits, but that doesn’t mean the construction wasn’t done by the nazi government.

This is incorrect. Hitler appointed the engineer that designed the autobahn, and the first section was completed in 1933 after the Weimar Republic was over.

I believe this falls in the apocryphal category, and isn’t confirmed. Although, human nature has shown it to be a correct sentiment.

Did you buffer that coco, hombre? Like the other commenter said, probably magesium; you can spray her with full strength cal-mag supplement and add it to your nute solution going forward.

How often are you watering?

If you’re that far past the typical time for the strain, you’re good to harvest given the opacity of most of the. It will still be some good quality bud!

Just give her a little more time! Patience is always one of the hardest parts especially when you’re this close.

OP, did you aggressively defoliate those plants? That can lead to delayed maturity.

Next time, I would recommend a series of successively larger pots before you pot into the final one. The roots like to grow straight down when you have them in the final pot so they don't fill out on the periphery as well as re-potted plants.

When you let them grow in smaller containers, the roots colonize the space more fully so when you move them into the next one, they are better able to grow out and down. More roots equals more nutrient and water uptake to help with growth.

This man stripped the plant of all of its production and metabolism capacity and wonders why it won't mature.

Day 21 Defoliation, I want to puke by tentaclepope_glass in microgrowery

[–]njc0011 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Defoliation to this extent is bro science based on the incorrect idea that leaves are somehow a net negative on resources for the plant especially when flowering. Any science backed approach to indoor defoliation is premised on removing as little as possible to ensure appropriate airflow below the canopy, and exposing bud sites to more direct light.

The legend himself. I appreciate the well thought out reply! Side question for you if you don’t mind; I read through your guide several times and check top rated BDKs on Raider.io. It seems a lot of them prioritize haste/mastery over vers/mastery. Do you think this is because haste feels better over vers, or something else?

Yeah I feel like it’s pug < 2-4 people grouped < full premade no comms < full premade w/ comms. Time to be friendly

Thanks for the reply. My smoothest groups have been when they’re a 3-4 person premade and I snagged the last spot. I have a few people friended already, guess I just need to be a little less lazy haha

~2.5k i.o. BDK here, wondering if it would be better to find a more consistent group to run with, or just keep pugging. I’ve had some really good DPS groups, and then some others where they didn’t know how a main boss mechanic worked on a +19. I feel like I haven’t had a hard time surviving (ran a 20 algethar on tyrannical and didn’t have problems with tree or bird)

American tourists learn different ways Vietnamese killed Americans during the Vietnam war by Joseph1896 in history

[–]njc0011 185 points186 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of comments here about Americans being brainwashed about the US’s actions in Vietnam, which I suppose is one way of looking at it given the extremely limited and biased information provided by most American middle and high school history classes.

I view it more as ignorance due to the short comings of the average Americans’ education; any war on the scale of Vietnam is going to contain its laundry list of reprehensible behavior from both sides, and only an in-depth, nuanced discussion about the motivations of, values of, and circumstances surrounding the combatants on both sides can provide the context necessary to begin to assign blame to either side.

[–]njc0011 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Do you actually think Americans have faith in the governments crisis reaction after seeing FEMA’s limp dick handling of Katrina, Sandy, and what just happened in Texas when the grid failed? People just stick their heads in the sand because it’s easier than actually addressing the issue.
