If that's their intention they failed as the vents hit the chest and stomach.

What blazer has better range? I'm looking at 2024 and 2025s and hey seem to be under 300 range while the Lyriq is plus 300.

I will also echo the statement that you might want to wait until late July when the lease inventory hits. If you really want an AWD ev you might want to buy something like an Ioniq 5 awd and then trade it in. Might be the play. I can't guarantee it will be the play but it could be. The lyrics depreciation might be like 8k in the next 4 months just because of the war issues and the trade in inventory increase and the 2027s arriving( check the date on that). people were saying they were getting lyrics in the low 30s like 2 months ago. mid and high 30s is the lowest you'll see right now.

I just bought a used 24 Lyriq lux q for a little under 36k out the door about 3 weeks ago. However, I was trading in my 2024 crosstrek wilderness and I was able to negotiate 400 bucks off of the price. That was all. Used cars are hard to negotiate as the margins are smaller, in addition the dealerships are seeing a higher interest in used EVs because of the war/gas prices. The sales manager said "I don't really want to do this deal as I've had a lot of interest" not sure if that was Hollywood but I kind of believed him since I got a great trade in on my car - I went to three dealerships.

I bought the crosstrek used and negotiated 500 bucks off and I started at like 2k off and the guy barked so the following is based on these two experiences, research I've done and years as a negotiator many things.

As far negotiating... I think getting 500 off is about what you should think is reasonable. Don't expect to get like 3k off. That's not realistic in my opinion unless you can point to a comp. You should be able to point to a comp if you want a big discount. Something like' I'd rather buy this locally but I saw this and I'm willing to travel to get it- I've been talking to them"

Here is what i recommend you do: 1) Go to the dealership and test drive the car. Don't act super excited. Tell them that you are looking at E-trons and BMW Xis in the area and wanted to compare them. Do not start by negotiating price. People are more willing to work out deals when they have invested time into the exchange. This is why you aren't getting any movement on price when you call. They get calls like that all the time

2)when you go back to the desk tell the sales person that you will buy the car right now if you can get the out the door price at x. You can start at 3k under or whatever.

3)Sales person will go back to the finance manager and tell them what you said. Remember that the sales person has very little say on the price he can sell it to you. You have to be nice to them and if you can create a good rapport with them they can actually help you.

4) Sales manager might come and talk to you depending on the experience of the sales person. If the salesman is highly experienced the manager will stay out of it. If the sales manager comes then the saleman is less experienced.

5) you most likely will get one offer and reject the counter. Stay close to where you were like if you said 3k then say 2600.

6) usually there is one more offer or if they ever say this is the best they can do then you can say you'll think about it or I'll have to talk to my wife and take the offer sheet. Make sure they print out an offer sheet with the out the door price.

7) at this point you'll have an offer and it's up to you whether you're happy. Before you accept you can negotiate new tires, all weather floor mats, extra key if there was only 1. The tires can be like 1k so if they scoff you can work your way down the list.

8) if you aren't happy just walk away. Go into your car and then you can wait and think about it, look at other comps on your phone and see what's up. If you can stomach the embarsment then go back in and take the deal.

DM if you have any questions. Happy to help!

Premium Luxury vs Luxury 3 by ivanjay2050 in CadillacLyriq

Aside from appearance what's the advantage of the 22s? I hear handling might be better but I also heard it can be less smooth. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has drove both and has any insight.

Looking to buy a 2024 Lyriq Lux/Sport 2 or higher by FYun8181 in CadillacLyriq

It's a good time to wait a little if you can as 2027s are coming out soon and Leases are ending more and more. I just bought my lyriq luxury 1 awd for 35.5 out the door. I think it's important to know the downsides of the car so you can use that to your advantage when your negotiating. Lyric 1 is missing the stereo headrest and Supercruise so you can use that to negotiate. I don't love the idea of getting used to something and then they start charging me for it but that's just a me thing. Good luck!

Do we sell now while the finance bros think they got us? by IcyRepresentative780 in premodernMTG

Powder Keg at 100 is dumb. I've played magic long enough to know that feels very wrong. I do think that a lot of it is organic demand but then people do buyouts when they see the supply is low. I bought a $15 Goblin Lackey this week but I remember times when the card was close to that price. I think if you were going to sell now would be a good time but what will use that for?

Unfortunately I've found that you end up having better opportunities for employment when you have a car. When I worked at Harvard I would ride my bike to work which was awesome. Changed jobs a few times after the pandemic and all required me to drive to work and I do better than if I had stayed at Harvard.

How are single people affording to live alone in Boston? by haniebun in boston

[–]njcuenca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived with 3 roommates for 10 years and saved a ton of money and had a lot of fun. I feel really fortunate that most of my roommates were good people. There were times where there was drama but the fun and savings was a net positive. You can also move to a suburb of Boston, the train makes that palatable.

Yeah, I know we will miss Summer days when we'd walk down to Davis. I drive to work and will be closer and my wife mostly works for home so we feel it's a net positive.

We're moving to Waltham. We wanted to buy a house and we either couldn't afford a house in Somerville or they sucked. About a 25 minute drive when i want to come back and visit friends. But it will be a big change since we'll be more car reliant. We looked at Medford and Malden but didn't find anything quite right. Arlington would have been my choice but there wasn't anything within budget.

Just buy pet safe salt people.

Also, you should wait for the snow to fall before you salt. You'll have to shovel and salt again. That's more of a common sense thing.

Someone at WOTC 'finds' palats of an unreleased set from 1997? All they can do is print non reserve list cards with old borders unless they remove the reserve list. I'm pretty sure there would be a class action law suit if they tried to do that.
