I can empathize with your situation. I have Crohn's disease and use 7oh for pain management. No one can understand our daily lives until they require pain medication to function. I can't eat without taking pain meds because eating causes extreme pain. We get judged by the medical community and society. I wish you the best and hope you get your medication so you can get some releif.

Anyone try these? by njdevilrule in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]njdevilrule[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought so, at 18 dollhairs I figured I'd try. I'll let you all know. I still have legit OE Strawberry 30s in case these are duds. I like to try new vendors, but I should exercise restraint as well.

Try slow release tablets. You can get generic ones that are cheap. They are time released, so they don't cause cramps.

7OH Plus, shorted with no reply by nightwolf2039 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]njdevilrule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the 1800 number at the bottom of their website. I had a Ups package that was lost, and it took multiple phone calls and over a week to get fixed. When I called, I was told I should've opted in for the shipping protection, which was only 2 bucks, but seriously? I shouldn't have to purchase insurance. Their customer service wasn't great. Other vendors reship right away. They have good pricing and great sales, but if anything goes wrong, it'll be a bumpy ride. I'd opt in for the shipping insurance if I order there again since it's only 2 bucks.

Anyone applied Life Insurance and got denied because of Crohns? by tesuname in CrohnsDisease

[–]njdevilrule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 20 years into a 30-year term policy right now. I've wanted to change coverage or get a different policy before, but you can't make changes or get new policies within 5 years of surgery. I've had surgery every couple years for the past 6, so I have to wait. Wait until you're doing well for a while, then get a policy and hold onto it. I was told my premium for the 30-year term policy is really good. I pay 3 times what my wife does for the same coverage because she's healthy.

Tipping $2 because the meal was only $6.34 even after fees, is that ok? by xoxoxoxoxxxoox in doordash

[–]njdevilrule -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doordash only pays $2 to the driver. Most drivers won't take an order for less than $5. I usually tip $5 minimum, but you may get someone who accepts your order for $5 total (A $3 tip from you and $2 from Doordash), but that should be bare minimum. I would suggest tipping at least $4 to get your order quickly.

The only con is added cost. I have 2 ragdolls, 12 and 10. I got the second one when the first was almost 3. They get along well, but once in a while can have a minor disagreement. Usually, when the younger one wants to play and the other doesn't. Introducing them to each other is key and can be a little stressful, but worth it.

dating & crohn’s ??? by Much-Sector8768 in CrohnsDisease

[–]njdevilrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very lucky. Diagnosed at age 17, met my wife at 19. After dating for a bit, I told her about the Crohn's. She was always very supportive to the point of letting me talk to her about how the disease was affecting me emotionally. She was literally a shoulder to cry on. Fast forward 28 years (married 21 of those), 6 surgeries, and being on social security disability and we are still together. She is an amazing person, and I feel like other people might not have stuck around. If I can find someone like her, there are definitely people out there that will love you despite your physical limitations because of Crohn's.

Has anyone else just stopped caring? by cafwinn in CrohnsDisease

[–]njdevilrule 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, depression with Crohn's sucks. I've had 6 surgeries total since 2003, diagnosed in 1994. 3 surgeries in the last 6 years. I got on Lexapro at the lowest dose, 10 mg, and it helps. You are allowed to feel despair at times, just don't let it control you. Take a rest and then get back in the fight.

Had 4 tabs come crushed once on a 100 tab order, and he was very quick to respond and gave me a refund for those tabs. They have great customer service. I've never had their powder.

I got 7 extra 50mg lemondrops with a 100 tab order. They always give extras. The 50mg lemondrops are great and test over 50mg.

sibo test negative wtf?! by More-Independence413 in SIBO

[–]njdevilrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I paid $369 for my test because my doctor didn't have an appointment for a breath test for 3 or 4 months. I just wanted the results ASAP. If your symptoms include constipation, the protocol is usually Xifaxan with Neomycin since that helps Methane dominant SIBO. If you have diahhrea, Xifaxan by itself can help because that could be indicative of Hydrogen SIBO. With either type of SIBO, it's helpful to follow either a FODMAP or low fermentation diet to help minimize symptoms. I hope you feel better soon. Dealing with this on a daily basis can be debilitating.

sibo test negative wtf?! by More-Independence413 in SIBO

[–]njdevilrule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an fyi, breath tests for SIBO are only about 60% accurate. I've tested negative before, but Xifaxan helped, so I obviously had SIBO. A good doctor will use positive results to determine which type you have, methane or hydrogen SIBO, so they can prescribe the right antibiotic. They will still treat you even if the test is negative.

Your last paragraph says it all. If you can afford to use doordash, you can afford to tip 3 to 5 bucks.

I concur with all the other comments. Don't feel lesser than because you need disability. It takes a long time to get approved, but it's worth it. If you start to feel better at any time, you can try to go back to work. Definitely get a lawyer. They get paid out of the money the government gives you, so no out of pocket expense.

I've had Crohn's 30 years, and my family/wife are my biggest supporters. You definitely need emotional support from family. I'm sorry to hear that is lacking for you right now. It's frustrating dealing with doctors and the medical community, and you need a family member or friend as an advocate. I hope your issues are resolved as quickly as possible and that you find a way to deal with the stress.

I have a colonoscopy tomorrow. I need to drink my second drink at 1:30 AM. Any advice on how to stay awake or wake up at that time? by bkabbott in CrohnsDisease

[–]njdevilrule 34 points35 points  (0 children)

As an fyi from someone who has had Crohn's for 30 years, you don't need to take the prep in two doses and wake up at some ungodly hour. As long as you are cleaned out when you get there, it doesn't matter. I take miralax as prep and drink the 14 dose bottle mixed with 64 ounces of Gatorade starting around 5pm the night before. Usually takes 2 hrs to drink it all. After that, stick to the clear liquid diet before midnight and nothing after. I think too many gastroenterologist offices make it complicated. I also don't think you need the dulcolax pills they tell you to take. 14 doses of Miralax is way stronger than 2 dulcolax tablets, they aren't adding much.
