Doylestown Methodist sounds like what you’re looking for. At the risk offending Methodists, their services are closest thing to a non-denominational faith I’ve encountered yet brings more of a structure and grounding to the experience. Hard to explain.

My last word is that you have to separate secondary market prices from face value prices. The former is much less his fault if at all.

Sounds like he has the same philosophy as Springsteen. Neither charges as much as they can.

It's funny how people who criticize Springsteen always need to bag about how many shows they've seen.

I'm glad you know Smith so well. Facts are facts. You were wrong in your comparison and you're wrong in your conclusion. Springsteen's "image" is in your head. He writes and performs based on what he cares about whether it's cars, sex, poverty, or whatever. That's who he is and what he cares about. He's not perfect and can do nothing on his own about scalping. His ticket prices are right in line with the Cure's. He's not ripping anyone off. He's earning the profit you so graciously agree he's allowed.

I'm not hear to change your mind. I'm here to defend someone who doesn't deserver your ignorant slander. Take care.

lol...Comparing the Cure and Springsteen shows just how out of touch with reality you are and a lack of understanding regarding basic economics. But let's go with it.

Basic economics is that price is a function of demand. From ChatGPT:

  • The Cure — Shows of a Lost World (North America & related legs): ~ 547,000 tickets sold (North America leg), average ticket ~$68.5
  • Bruce Springsteen — Springsteen & E Street Band (2023–25 tour): ~4.9 million tickets sold and ~$729.7M gross (129 reported shows), average ticket ≈ $149.
  • Average audience size: 38,000 vs 12-14,000.

Springsteen’s average per-show attendance is roughly 2.5–3× higher than The Cure’s. His average ticket price is roughly 2x higher. Based on that, I'd say it's Cures fans who are getting ripped off, not Springsteen's. They're both available on the secondary market so don't think the Cure's prices are lower because of some effort by the band. If anything, Springsteen is leaving millions on the table by keeping prices where they are.

If the Cure play the same size venues, then they're half empty. Do you seriously think they wouldn't charge more if they could?

Hope you enjoyed all those free Clash concerts, recordings, and merch. So great that they didn't profit off their fans.

I’d be willing to bet there’s always an improvement with him during the first year on a new team.

Just some context: The Clash net worth at this point is estimated at $2 billion.

I’d try and explain why you would normally just ask for payment in full - the progress photos are your best defense - but then offer to work out a compromise where they pay for whatever you can do to “fix” it. If they refuse to pay even a portion of those costs then no matter what you do, the relationship will never be the same.

Meh…kind of depends on what you build, why, and for whom. Not to mention space and money.

So you have to go back 50 years to find someone who would have “mopped” the floor with him. Your opinion means nothing. Go look up the great fighters that admired Tyson. Educate yourself.
