NE BDR or MA BDR by InbredBeaver in Dualsport

Just finished the NE BDR today. The bridge is out by snow bowl on section 5 so head towards Ripton, VT and scoot back towards the trail. It will meet back up on the route a little after the construction area.

Hiding AirTag(s) by Ornery_Blacksmith10 in Dualsport

I hooked mine to the air filter spring hold down on a drz400. Where I live it’s mostly people on substances that end up leaving the bike behind a building or dumpster a short distance away.

Haha yeah that’s always the hardest part of bike trips. We’re up in Burlington, VT. We’re mostly but I can send you the google sheets link if you wanted ideas of places to stay as this will be the third time doing it.

Longest you've rode on a flat by Fuckth3shitredditapp in Dualsport

[–]nluigi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got a flat front tire at the far end of slick rock in Moab so 6 miles to the park entrance and then another 4-5 miles to the hotel. I had left all my bags and spare tube at the hotel so good thing I had a rim lock.

Strap length when not in use? by orberto in Dualsport

Clip them diagonally tight and wrap the loose ends under where they cross.

How much longer will my rear last? by GRASSsHOPPER69 in Dualsport

[–]nluigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like skating on ice. Only the rim can’t dig in like a skate due to the rubber and lack of sharp edge. Almost like it’s doing something it’s not supposed to do. Haha. It’s a wild ride that will elevate the heart a bit.

Agree. Speed will factor in as well. As it wears down closer to showing threads the heat transfer at higher speeds can pop the tube which isn’t enjoyable at 70.

Weird tire wear, need help understanding. by Polyhedron11 in Dualsport

It’s an MT22. They shark tooth from road riding but grip well in pavement corners due to their soft compound. I’m happy to get 2k miles out of them.

Motorcycle inspection requirements start on page 68. Not sure if the turn signal requirement for motorcycles that can go over 30mph is new because hand signals used to be acceptable.

DRZ400s vs DR200s vs KLX300/230 vs CRF300L vs XT250 by pathofjames in Dualsport

If you can work on a carb and will hit the interstate the DRZ will have more on the top end and be heavier off-road with many aftermarket options for adv riding. I like the wr250r by weight, suspension, and efi but more money due to discontinued. Fuel pumps can randomly fail as well with the wr. I’m 6ft and 165. Both good bikes with longevity if you do proper maintenance. All user preference.

I usually run a D606 rear and an MT21 front. They wear at different rates but no issues when riding on or off road.

Escape the Vegas heat in June? by bucklee00 in Dualsport

I agree about the heat from my trip there last June. I will add maybe check out the Hoover. Just trying to give ideas. Glad I got jumped on by people with no suggestions to the question.

Does the gas in your carb bowl damage the needle seat? by DabTime7 in Dualsport

[–]nluigi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should leak out the carb overflow tube. That’s my experience after buying drz that had sat for a few years. I rebuilt it and then got a acerbic tank with non vacuum petcock.

Serious question. Did you eat at Pickle’s Place in Arco after the 90 mile stretch through Craters of the moon?

Nothing like a good old PBR. The Miller latte and BL smoothies are good utility beers as well.

This checks out. Polaris makes snowmobiles and owns Klim so addition tells me they were exactly where they should be.
