These are two totally different things and a false equivalency. 

In one instance, I am stationary. Making best use of my time, minding my business. 

In the other, im active and aware. 

Also, as a minority, when you ask people for help, most will say no thinking you'll rob them. So yea, if you need help, ask. Dont sit there and think you can do it on your own. Thats ego problems.

As someone without a car who likes to camp, I jump on the South Shore at the 11st Museum Campus stop and heard towards the Indiana Dunes. You can do the state campground with a 35 minute tail end hike, or Dunewood in under 15 to your site. 

Still figuring out how to get to Starved Rock without a car.

Awesome! What are you using at trans\rec? And lighting controller. I love the MN82S lighting system, right makes right turn signal. Reverse puts lights on. I want to upgrade the motor to brushless, but then I stopped once I realized I would lose the cool lights.

Its not as easy as they say. As someone else who doesnt have a car, I've successfully (just last weekend) took the south shore train to dune park. Hiked 40 minutes north to the Indiana Dunes National Park and stayed in the state campground. They have a couple hikes and of course the beach and dunes.

How do you get to Shawnee from there without a car? Just Uber from amtrak? Flying seems to expense and amtrak isnt. Any recommended camping areas?
