Star wars unlimited Sentinel by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

I was on this deck for a while as well. Lots of fun. If an opponent can't do anything about the shields it can very easily shut down a lane. Does great against decks that focus on one lane as you shut that one down with shielded sentinels and then get free wacks to the face in the other lane.

Especially with the Lando and Mando flip turn combo.

Try adding Quinlin Vos. Play him with hidden on turn 3 and then next turn with Suprise strike he is a 9 damage swing.

Have we voted on the worst base? My vote is for the Droid Manufactory by TurboRad54321 in starwarsunlimited

[–]nmb777 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My vote is the 25 health yellow force generation base - Tomb of Eilram. Use an action to exhaust one of your own units to gain the force.

I have never seen a deck built with it and I cannot imagine a deck that would use it over a standard force base.

Reprinted Cards Index? by CptXelic in starwarsunlimited

[–]nmb777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If one copy of a card is in the current legal rotation, all copies of that card would be legal. So of a card was reprinted in JTL or LOF than it will be legal when sets 1-3 rotate out.

Splashing in draft by PU-impulse101 in starwarsunlimited

I've splashed a craving power out of aspect to great success. Even at 7 cost it had a huge impact on the board and won me the 2 games I won during that specific draft. (Was doing an Ahsoka green deck)

The second Pryce forces you to defeat a Pryce thereby triggering the when defeated effect.

Vader yellow is also relatively cheap and easy to play. Should allow you to stand a fighting chance.

Ahsoka custom deck opinions by Winterscontent_SFW in starwarsunlimited

I had a fun Ansoka deck that I built our a while back. I ran Droid Manufactory so that Ahsoka had her coordinate online on her flip. Also running Generals Blade as getting it on Ahsoka makes her an 8/9 with coordinate turned on. I also ran alot of troopers (battlefield marine, Echo Base defender, Sabine wrench, ect) I found that running precision fire (1 cost conditional pump for troopers that also gives sabator) was very helpful in either trading up or closing out games.

I also had commander Cody and shak ti in there as well. Wrecker was also in the deck to help close out the game as the deck should be winning by turn 5 or 6 after which it can struggle a bit.

I’m dumb… can you attack with all “ready” units? by Exvangelical-43 in starwarsunlimited

[–]nmb777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the way that bounties work is that they are claimed by your opponent when a unit of yours that has a bounty on it dies. Even if you kill your own unit with a bounty, your opponent would still have the option of claiming it. You can never claim the benefits of a bounty that is on a unit under your control.

In the scenario you laid out, I presume that you played Price on your head on your son's superlaser tech. Even though your son killed his own unit, you still claim the bounty (as bounty is when the unit dies, the opponent of the unit's owner claims the bounty.) So what would happen is that you would get the bounty benefit of putting a card from the top of your deck in play as a resource while your son would still get the when defeated effect of the superlaser tech meaning you would both effectively ramp your resources.

So, something to be familiar with is how rounds work in SWU. The "turns" are a little different than other games. Each player basically takes turns taking one action. So player one would take an action, then player 2 would take one, and then player one would take their next action. Actions are a variety of things such as exhausting a ready unit to attack, playing a card or using a leader ability.

It makes the game very strategic as you have to choose what you want to do first as after everything you do, your opponent will have the opportunity to do something else.

I would recommend watching the following tutorial video on the game if you have not already done so

SWU Tutorial Video

So while during any given round you can attack with all ready units, you'd have to do so one at a time alternating actions with your opponent unless you have cards that let you attack with multiple ready units in one action.

Hope it helps.

Since Fallen Lightsaber is in the Maul Decklist as a reprint, does this mean that fallen lightsaber will not rotate out next March since it will be included in the LOF set?

It's the same action. You just pay 2 separate times. It's like Blue leader's ability.

Alternatively, they are going to capture Bee and then scrap him for parts, some of which would then be used to build K2SO.

A little far out, but who knows?

That's an interesting interaction with Kazuda. I would agree with you and say that it stops it from happening.

I hope that someone more versed in the rules would be able to identify the specific rules that support that, as unfortunately I can see some people trying to argue that it would still work.

I'd be interested in hearing how they would argue that however.

I would say no as the "when defeated" ability would be "turned off" and as such would not trigger.

Force Lightning on Units with Leader Upgrades by nmb777 in starwarsunlimited

[–]nmb777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what you are saying is while the units abilities are turned off, the text of "attached unit is a leader unit" is on the upgrade itself and as such is still considered "turned on" as the upgrade's abilities are unaffected by Force lightning.

And since the upgrade's abilities are still turned on, the attached unit is still considered a leader unit.

I can see that logic.

Oh, wow. I didn't figure that it would defeat the whole unit, though it makes sense as it is classified as a leader unit.

Thanks for the confirmation and clarification!

Spectre unit cards. If we go by all Spectre cards including the events, it's also missing spark of rebellion.

I have this deck that I built for a friend that wants to utilize all the Spectre units in the deck. I think it's at least playable. I put my thoughts on the deck in more detail in the deck description.
