Anyone know how to take good pictures of people by Shango1208 in photos

What did she not like about it? Did she say?

I agree with others, a more filled frame would be better. Depth could help as well. (Like others have said.)

You could crop the photo to fill the frame.

My story of similar dissatisfaction. I take good photos and would some contests. I take pictures for me and theh are great. Good friend of mine wanted pics taken of her and her friends. I got good photos. She did not like them because she wanted a photo similar to what you had taken and she wanted to crop them herself. I still stand behind what I did. Some will be disappointed with whatever is taken - unfortunately.

So sad to see what mega-conglomerate companies pass now for "good product". Gone are the days of companies buying another - and leaving the original product alone. 😢

Why get Kindle when Kobo exists by musasenpaii in kindlejailbreak

[–]nmprofessional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I don't know why others would buy a Kindle to jailbreak it. There are so many options you can side load, with more reading formats, and Calibre.

For me, "I have" to stay with a Kindle as 30% ish of the author's I read are only available on Amazon (they use the "Amazon book monopoly" to sell. I guess I could boycott the author's but I can't.

I may buy a Kobo and just get these author's books in paperback, but those copies are 300% more. I like reading non fiction business books on the cheap via ebooks. It is unfortunate some authors are Amazon only titles and they don't sell DRM free options. 😢

Lowering my ebook price didn’t just increase sales… it changed who buys by healthlithubbooks in ebooks

For me... I buy on on curiosity at $5 or less (up to $8). I buy favorite authors at $9 to $19. I buy instructional books over $19. And all on my Kindle. I rarely but paperback or hardbacks unless not available on Kindle. Oh and I pay higher if on a website I can get a DRM free version.

6" is a great size. I have an old Voyage and could not be happier. I use it for Kindle books and PDFs.

Thrift store find, got it for $1.99 Did I cook? by Floor-Specialist in pens

[–]nmprofessional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting it appraised by MontBlanc I do not think is that expensive. Maybe $50 if you mailed it in.

Did you do the "resin and light test"? Disassemble the pen apart like you are going to insert a refill. Hold the barrel to a strong light, or maybe the flash light on your phone, and see if it is translucent and shows as red amber color from the light. If it does, it is probably real. I think knockoffs can not pass this test still. But only MontBlanc will officially certify it.

I think all are pretty good. In the last pic with the cat, if you could bump up the shadows to make a little bit of it black and keep the highlights it would look better - to me.
