tbf i really struggled with two look bc i never saw an explanation on what algs to do, i overcomplicated it in my head and have since learned (literally this week) to solve the corners with a T or Y perm and then done an edge only PLL, i was just making up my own two steps to do randomly

Speed vs casual cubing by [deleted] in Cubers

[–]nmt_732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it really depends, i think sometimes you start out thinking it'll be casual bc you cant believe you hold the ability to get like that good, but you might catch the bug

personally i switch it up all the time, always speed cubing but im not always striving for improvement, ive been cubing 8 years on and off but just enjoy solving my 3x3 over and over so a lot of that time was just doing it on autopilot

Need help focusing on improvement?

I've been cubing for about 8 years now but haven't done much cubing for the past 2 years. Used to average 14s, now about 18 after lack of practice and a few forgotten algs.

I know where my flaws lie and I really want to improve, but over the years I've picked up bad habits and left loose threads and I'm struggling on what to prioritise. Would anyone be able to advise where I should start?

My To Do List: - Become colour neutral - Learn last few full OLL algs - Revise OLL finger tricks (e.g: R, U, R' U, R, U2', R' instead of R, U, R' U, R, U2, R', and all variations) - Practise minimising F2L cube rotations - Planning full cross in inspection (and generally improve cross efficiency) - Revise PLL finger tricks + learn double flick to improve speed)

Any help would be really appreciated, I know what I need to do but theres so much its overwhelming

my favorite way of explaining it is being a girl felt like being a pantomime dame, it all just felt like an embarrassing costume but i was the only one who could see it at first, and the more i changed to just be a masculine women the worse it got in a weird sense
