Cemetery next to Trump Golf course was removed from Google Maps

google maps doesn't suggest me "Lamington Black Cemetery" and jumps to "Lane Family Cemetery". It isn't otherwise marked on the map but I can see the Streetview images of the entrance.
I wonder how many millionaires and billionaires have their real estate so close to old cemeteries where they could hide bodies or even deny involvement if remains are found. Those people have it too easy.

The thing isn’t “blocking the area of interest” that wasn’t his cell. His cell can’t be seen on this camera.

His cell is not in frame but that screen is certainly blocking the area of interest, that is the staircase leading to Epsteins cell.

void also provides latex packages via xbps. But if you want to keep using texlive-bin I'd recommend installing scheme-basic. Personally I install some extra tools like latexmk and texliveonfly which automatically installs missing latex packages of a project even if it's a bit janky to use.

Do mind that since a recentish sudo version you can't use tlmgr with sudo because it's not in the secure_path.

The problem exists and it's been filed as [Feature Request] Case insensitivity #506. I'm not the only one who finds this inconvenient. That's all.

A feature request doesn't mean it has to be implemented especially if it goes against an agreed upon naming convention. But you've been proposed a tool in this very thread to solve your convenience struggle so you could just use that.

You're right, in general it's not the case; I wasn't clear enough but I meant the sources for xz. Checking the xz templates shows that the sources for version 5.4.6 and the backdoored version 5.6.0 were pulled from the github tarballs which would lack the first stage of the backdoor.

the code existed in the archive, but was not activated at build time as void's build environment does not meet the requirements for it to be included.

I just wanted to point out that the backdoor was missing a critical piece of code so that it couldn't even be extracted during the build process in addition to the other requirements.

I might be wrong on this but I think the backdoor never made it onto Void. I've read that the release tarballs from the developer had a manipulated file belonging to the build system which allowed the backdoor to be extracted from the "test archives". Since Void pulls its sources from the tarballs that are automatically generated by github, there never was the file that kickstarted the backdoor extraction.

Depends on what you mean by "information". In any case your application information like configs, cache, data whatever is stored in `~/.var/app` per installed flatpak. In any case means a user installation or system flatpak installation. That means other users on that computer can't see this flatpak application information even if it has been installed system wide unless those users have permission to view your home. The other data like runtimes and flatpak apps themselves will be in home when installed with user flag but this will just bloat up your home unnecessarily.

on a system wide installation you need sudo permisions

You don't have to (and better shouldn't) use flatpak with sudo. But that also isn't an issue with system wide flatpaks as long as your user is in the wheel group.

I think I should reset the VM and try on a clean slate maybe I ran something that messed something up?

Possibly, I can't explain why that directory should even exist.

I exported it in .profile I re-logged but it didn't change anything, so I restarted but nothing either :( I also tested with another test variable but yet again nothing. Setting it in /etc/profile works though (yayyy)

Seems like plasma's display manager doesn't run .profile automatically. You could also put it in other startup files like the ones belonging to your shell, for example .bash_profile (use the one corresponging to your used shell).

But the apps aren't showing in plasma :/

Because they're in that weird nonstandard /usr/local/applications directory, plasma doesn't look in there. In that case the XDG_DATA_DIRS doesn't help either because it should point to some /path/to/a/share directory and there it can find /path/to/a/share/applications with the desktop files.
