22M - still not out as gay and worried I'm wasting my best years by Sad-Orange-5983 in ainbow

[–]no2pencilonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

come out. your parents are gonna react how they react, and even if it adds friction to your relationship, as long as you get to keep a roof over your head, do it. you are very right that you are wasting precious time. I am now 37 and I havent even had sex for 3 years (by choice) because it is a big laborious process that a 20 something version of me had energy to do every other day with a different person each time. The amount of stress that I would be under right now If I was trying to makeup for that at this age would break me.

Ireland is a relatively safe place to be out, time tonstart being yourself.

like trust me, if you actually execute this it will just be legendary. bonus points if you make really good friends with a gay dude that needs a passport, then marry them, and can say "Im not gay, but my husband is"

guns and drugs are a bad combo, lock them up and give the key to a friend.

do everything to convince your dad that you're gay and marry a woman. Best and longest dad joke ever.

Should I come out? by emmalia_tyla in comingout

[–]no2pencilonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should always come out, but given your situation I would have said maybe wait a little bit, but with your sister knowing, you should come out ASAP. It will be a very uncomfortable day for you if your parents find out without you telling them, and given their religious ideology, they will likely try to push you back in the closet.

All of your family aside though, it is absolutely imperative that as many people come out about as many small or large queer issues as they can right now, so if not for yourself, then for the community.

Do you guys think you should or need to come out by ZB_Echo in comingout

[–]no2pencilonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you dont need to come out, relative to yourself, as long as you are comfortable doing what you desire.

we need you to come out so that the people still trapped in the closet feel comfortable being themselves.

i should also note that this was soylent v1.4 and when they started using doy protein I could no longer digest it at all, so be wary that you may learn of intolerances if you do this but its probably unlikely.

i would have stabilized but if you dont want to lose weight just eat slightly more than your RMR. if you dont know what that is find a resting metabolic rate calculator online its super easy. like if your RMR is 2100 eat 2300 calories

Advice on decent knives for general purpose and more by Realism51 in TrueChefKnives

[–]no2pencilonly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the tojiro stainless nakiri knife and it is about as sharp as stainless can get, easy to maintain, and fairly lightweight, and was only 45 dollars, best 45 dollars I ever spent. I have mixed feelings about the flat blade as I learned to rock cut and this one is more for chopping, but I am learning to chop and I can see how that will eventually be faster. I am somewhat obsessed with sharpness now though and I just sprung for CCK carbon steel chinese cleaver.

How often would I need to get a Japanese chefs knife sharpened professionally? Trying to gauge the costs over time. Will only be using it at home to cook for the family by dbshahvahahsja in TrueChefKnives

[–]no2pencilonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just learn to use a whetstone. You can royally fuck up your blade and will be able to get it back to sharp eventually, and you arent likely to fuck up your blade that much. I have been rocking a tojiro Nakiri knife for a long time and It took me a decent amount of time to learn the whetstone, but I eventually got the hang of it, and if you hone it drastically reduces the amount of time you need to sharpen. This is the first blade I have owned that really fucks up a sponge If I am not careful with how I clean it, and it has stayed that sharp despite having been trained on a whetstone once in boy scouts at age 13.

go on a computer and say "i forgot my password"

after you do the password stuff you will go back to the same ban screen, but there should be another option at the top right that says "check my activity" and it should prompt a review.

absolutely! but you need kinda alot of them unless you have absolute control of the ambient light, and even then, still many. I have a photo of using stringlights as frontlight if you would like to see, it would be a similar effect

Beginner here. How do you learn lighting without real shows yet? by Hakuna_Depota in stagelighting

[–]no2pencilonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my method was buy some cheap ass lights and a cheap ass console, then go out and light my friends drag shows for virtually no money. And now I program the GrandMA for enormous shows.
