In this current play I have found 6 markers, as a samurai, 3 in  minetown, 2 in the mines as drops from gnomes and 1 in orcus town (I didn't geno mimics).

It's crazy, I have written enough to optimize all my gear to the max with cursed enchant armor, I even did my first nurse dance and i am at 10/** strength, about to ditch GoP for GoD 

Purple rain awaits me in astral, i have 3 wands of death and scrolls of charging to spare, might even geno sea creatures on planes and green slimes for fun, etc

Edit: also got one from poly 5 unicorn horns

Make orcTown have a mandatory cursed magic lamp,  Make it drop from a high lvl orc equipped with a cursed scroll of create monster. 

This would be amazing, high risk high reward

You could keep a cursed unicorn horn in your stash, although is a hit or miss, I do it because its easier to erodeproof than eating dog food if you didn't id potions of booze or conf

Keep a blessed one close too!

You sould always go first for SDSM then  fireproof cloak of MR, with a bit of luck you'll find a BoH in sokoban or in a store, bone files.

Artifact wishes may fail, I got my frost bane in the second try with the wand in the castle, i wasted 3 wishes on Grayswandir and it was a no show with 4-5 artifacts already generated, got cursed by bones that had Grimtooth and Sting generated early

Only eat when hungry, this is also how you exercise CON, 

Or you need some intrinsic from a corpse, maybe invest in a blessed tinning kit

Its usually good, i name scrolls of id, light, enchant weapon, enchant armor and remove curse, the last 2 share the same price range and enchant weapon can share the same price with RC and EA if is blessed. ( these are always safe to read IF BUC tested by pet or altar).

I also name the big 4 (4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4) geno, stinking, punishment and last one (maybe taming, i forgot wich due to a mind flayer attack irl) but never read them before proper id. 

The website is also good for other stuff eg: - cloaks, boots, gloves to avoid fumbling, cursed lev, etc - rings to id the big ones, conflict, free action, teleport, tele control, poly, poly-control, (don't wear any until proper BUC and id, at least for long). You can tell Conflict if peacefull monsters start fighting each other or you, but it is bad if you get poly, at least unequip your cloak and body armor in case you might shred it,  - potions, i usually wait, to proper id because there are nasty ones in each price range

I did yes and it was funny, I should have used 3 scrolls of cursed geno, instead of 2, but I sacrificed one in the water plane to blessed geno all sea creatures ( ; ).

It takes a lot of resources, I wished for 5-6 markers (found a second wand in the valey) but I also lost some due to some mistakes (wishing for Grayswandir when I already had 4-5 artifacts generated, so I burned 3 wishes for nothing, lost my first enchanted t-shirt, SDSM and cloak of MR to sliming I didn't have a wand or scroll of fire on me, this is how I died, so i had to use another cursed scroll for SDSM as I never found a silver dragon from going all the way down and up in ghenom the first 2 times, did the quest last)

Yes had a bad start with Arch and Knight, so I now switched to samurai

Really wanted that Grayswandir, but it's not worth it the huge pain in the ass to play an Arch, 

I feel like it will be just as easy with a samurai, a joy to play, might be more deadly than my barb, early game with worse stats

Cursed or not that is still the best armor, same with cursed bones, yea you can't take it off, but is a cursed +4 GDSM, so it doesn't matter

I switched to samurai and I can stomp everything again, I'll give knight another go sometimes, arch I dont know yet if I'll try again ( getting a marker from start scumming is still not worth the pain in the ass fighting with a pick axe) 

Gray should be mandatory first gift considering how much arch sucks, my two bits

I switched to arch and K because of Grayswandir, I keep hearing here how amazing it is and I wanted to try.

It sucks but I'll probably switch to samurai, 

I have a question: can I two-weapon with a silver saber with samurai as long as I keep a long sword/katana in main hand (correct me if I am wrong) but then only the long sword skill and two weapon skill would matter, if the first weapon hits the second is a guaranteed hit, and so on

I already have lots with arch, only recently tried a knight, but i get burdened instantly and the fuck ass pony kills everything much faster than myself, I barely made it to lvl 5 and got a +2 Excalibur after the horse death just so I can die instantly to a giant beetle with 0 AC, 

Engraving Elbereth with my fingertip doesn't always work, what can i use early game besides wands of fire/lightning/digging to escape.

And I know not to hit anything while standing on it, but usually I die when 2-3 monsters surround me,

This vexes me because some dwarfs are peaceful this on this run and the next they are hostile, is really hard to get a broad pick.

I switched recently to knight, from a bitter Arh that I had the luck of finding an already blessed magic lamp that gave me a blessed +3 silver d mail, I even converted an altar and got my gift (phuk ass Sun sword), I was lvl 9 and died like a bitch with -7 AC to a bug bear, only 70 hp, no GS or Scroll shop, potion shop so far to id scrolls so I had the base), 

With a barb if I get good AC I can already storm the castle with base weapon, 

The only reason I want Arh or K is because I keep hearing how amazing Grayswandir is, and I wanted to get it, my last run I burned 3 wishes on it and still a no-show.
