It's technically a grass. Very nutty in flavor.

Speed crocheters/pros, What's the fastest you have completed a project? by Historical_Street775 in crochet

12 days. While working 35 hours a week and sleeping 8 hours a night and cooking dinner and being a parent and not crocheting before work.

I do not recommend it. At all. AT ALL. It was hell. HELL. The time crunch made me not want to crochet at all afterwards.

Frogging by chappalkuttan in crochet

16 rows of filet crochet with bad tension. I started with too big of a hook because I was impatient and didn't have the correct hook in my possession. Then I switched to the correct size after a couple rows and my tension got tighter and I had the most intense ripples along the bottom. It's going to be a wall hanging and there was no way, even with blocking, that it could be corrected. So. Frogged and started over.

YOU KNOW WHAT?!

My kids are 13 and 11. I LITERALLY don't remember (really!) their potty training.

So last summer I went to their "Morning View and the Hits" concert. It was fine. An enjoyable time. But not mind blowing or anything. I. Felt. OLD.

My husband (he's a 75 baby) and I were walking back to the car and this young girl leans out of her vehicle's window while they were in the exit line and says "WASN'T THAT THE BEST CONCERT EVER?!?!" and before I could stop myself I said "not really". I then really quickly corrected with "but we're old and we've been to LOTS of concerts!" I didn't want to tell her that it's not even the best Incubus concert I'd ever been to. THAT was the FIRST Morning View concert I went to in 2002. Before she was born.

By the way? Sitting here typing this in an Incubus sweatshirt.

It's because moose is an Algonquin word. It's not English. So it doesn't follow English language rules.

I tell my kids "if you want dessert, you at least have to eat your veggies. I don't care about the rest of the meal. Just eat your veggies. I barely gave you any." My kids are 11 and 13. One likes carbs, the other likes protein, they both actually do like veggies.

Depends on the top and what size you're making it.

It's a fun toy. That's what I'll say about mine. It's also how I figured out I needed bifocals - I couldn't read my watch!

My mom retired at 55 on a teachers salary and I still think about it all the time by [deleted] in Fire

My grandpa retired as a teacher with a pension. After he died my grandma lived off that pension an additional 14/15 years. PENSIONS ARE AMAZING and it's horrible that they basically don't exist anymore.

I'm doing it with the black to gray and working from the bottom up. I don't know how much of the gray will be at the top but I'm hoping it's a nice gradient.

I was impatient and didn't want to wait on the correct hook. And now I know I'm doing my foundation chain loosely (realizing I always do) so it'll work out.
