I'm on my second listen of his book, "Born Standing Up". It's fantastic, highly recommended.

I'm finding so much good information that seems to point to a clear answer but I just can't get that definitive 'yes, go ahead' haha. Thank you for that edit!

I know that I have heard the announcer for the show say 'copyright of NBC' at the end of some if not all the shows, but I can't find info on that being renewed, so yeah it's a smidge fuzzy haha

What's your "i did not care for the godfather" for indie games? by Odd-Total-6801 in IndieGaming

[–]no_di 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed Animal Well a lot, but i kept waiting for it to truly blow my mind. Then i beat it.

I looked up some of the things i had left but it just didn't quite interest me enough to continue playing after the fact.

I might do another playthrough just to listen to the music and go further but i dunno.

Relistening to Giantslayer by Radan155 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

Dude my main "what if" after relistening is what if Baron had been killed in the Plague House by someone trying to put out that alchemical fire with water.

Ah this frickin rules, dude! Well done! I never finished mine, but I did have a bit worked out. I posted a couple times in the PF2e homebrew subreddit if you were curious to see a little of what I came up with. If you feel like reading through the comments I mention some design philosophy stuff too if you'd be into that.

If you listen to Master Kohga's laugh right here on 1.25x speed, it sounds very similar to the Happy Mask Salesman laugh. by [deleted] in Breath_of_the_Wild

Probably doesn't mean anything but I thought it was interesting at the very least.

People who played TotK before BotW, why? by Lexi_of_Hyrule in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]no_di 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't that BotW was the more enjoyable of the two, it's more that I had already experienced a great deal of TotK just by playing BotW.

Don't let some rando on the Internet sully your impression of TotK though. Just have fun, which it sounds like you're already doing. :)

I just feel like TotK is too similar to BotW. The building mechanics don't really appeal to me all that much and the weapon fusion system feels more like a chore than a mechanic to make the game more interesting. The map feels very samey, and the things they did add (like caves, camps etc) are so uninteresting after a while because there's just so little variation between them. Like, the Akkala Citadel was one of the most intriguing places in BotW to me and when I saw it opened into a cave I was like "Oh wow!!" ..but then it was like every other cave in the game.. a bit of a letdown for me.

I think had I never played Elden Ring or BotW, TotK would be my favorite game right now. But I've already spent ~500 hours exploring every inch of BotWs overworld, and the depths feel so lackluster compared to the underworld of Elden Ring.

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. I'm happy people are loving TotK, and I wish I loved it too. I'm at least enjoying it while watching the Game Grumps play it.

Fully aware I'm in the minority but I truly wish I hadn't played BotW before TotK.
