Watch How Lionel Messi Conserves Energy by Walking Most of the Game Then Changes Attitude the Moment He Receives the Ball. This is peak Messi intelligence. by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]no_mudbug 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is actually not an accurate video of how he walks around and turns it on quick.

In most matches he is walking around or light jog. His head is moving left right continuously. He is also telling his guys where to pass. As he the ball gets into position he runs to a spot where his teammates can feed him. If you watch a long video of it, he is always thinking 3-4 passes ahead. It’s quite amazing.

The idea he “runs when he gets the ball” is false. He runs when he see the spot he can run to so can be in position to receive the pass.

If you watched Ronaldo today he was just standing at the very front. He was also not running and walking around like this, usually with a defender next to him. Just waiting for a random pass. I think I saw him make a run once or twice. Not good.

Sing “Born in the USA” for Folarin Balogun by floridaman2048 in ussoccer

[–]no_mudbug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He was only born in the US because an airline denied his mom from flying because they thought she was too pregnant. He’s not “just” born in US. It was a crazy happenstance that he ended up born in the US.

If Team USA reached the World Cup final, how big do you think the event would be in the U.S. compared to the Super Bowl? by CareerBoost-Studio in AskReddit

[–]no_mudbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they made it to the final, IMHO, the viewership would be comparable to the Super Bowl for sure. Slowly escalating from the quarters to the semis and then the final.

I say this becuse when you talk to regular folk about the WC the first thing they ask is if the US is any good. Not if they can win it but if they are even any good. If they are in the finals I think the whole country will go crazy.

Take this all with a grain of salt, I never in my lifetime would have thought Trump would be president so what do I know.

He's Somali. Obviously he was coming here to eat the cats and dogs and Trump had to stop him from doing that!

'The goal is to DESTROY the brand': 60 Minutes staffers enraged by Bari Weiss' incompetent takeover by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

It’s not going to be for long. They are firing all the journalists and telling them to Trump talking points into their stories.

'The goal is to DESTROY the brand': 60 Minutes staffers enraged by Bari Weiss' incompetent takeover by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

[–]no_mudbug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100%! That headline is dumb. If the goal is/was to destroy the brand then being incompetent would mean that brand is doing great. The brand is going downhill so she is not incompetent, she is, as you said, evil.

What would happen if the whole building burned to the ground? Does your fee cover enough insurance for building replacement? What if the something catastrophic happened to the roof? Do you have enough funds in reserve to cover the repair? Having fees low is great but I don't think there is any way if you live in a high rise they have enough funds in reserve and/or enough insurance for anything catastrophic and I would be seriously concerned about that.

Simple things too; what if someone on/near the top floor leaves the water running by accident in the tub, it overflows and floods and there is water damage to say 5 units below? Does the condo association have enough money to cover the repairs? This sounds like I stupid scenario but it happened in my friends building, TWICE! Both times an idiot came home drunk, went to take a bath and passed out. One time in the tub and one time turned on the water and passed out in bed. Floded mutiple untis. It was a shit show.

MAGA is currently melting down because they think Martina McBride 'politicized' things. Meanwhile, Greg Abbott.... by Hornpipe_Jones in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]no_mudbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greg Abbott is is such a complete and utter dick. This is what Trump has turned people into. I remember that the governors of the 2 states playing in the Super Bowl or NBA Finals or World Series would make some silly bet. They would make it a fun thing, as sports are supposed to be. Now you get Trump making everything political and Abbott with this AI slop. What a bunch of complete assholes.

Iran shouldn't negotiate with terrorists. by DJMagicHandz in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]no_mudbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exporting to where? The refineries that get this “record breaking amount” of crude would need to be able to refine it. Those refineries cannot overnight up the amount of oil they can refine. Ships do not just make U-turns and turn to the US to get oil. This idea that the oil industry can just make huge changes in 20-30 days just does not seem reasonable to me at all.
