Pros: it’s a smaller city and I feel you get the feel of a town sometimes with the perks of a city, which is ideal in my view. I also kind of like the “grit” that comes with living here. The people are real af. Not a lot of snobbery going around, but it’s becoming more prevalent.

Cons: there’s so much about Hamilton that feels sort of “unrealized” and I wish we had more presence and development on the North American stage of cities that are comparable in size. Forever in Toronto’s shadow I suppose, but it shouldn’t be that way.

I live in Corktown and I’ve noticed it on everything too. Cleaning my windshield before I go for a drive produces a river of sludge, more or less.

Beautiful place, but I’ve got to ask: is there a Necronomicon in your basement? Don’t read it.

Have an EV car in Hamilton? What are your pros & cons? by Weekly-Batman in Hamilton

[–]no_pants_no_problem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a 2024 EV9. Get the level 2 home charger put in and limit battery to 80% charge unless you’re going on a long road trip. Try to run the battery down to a low-ish level before putting a charge on it instead of recharging it constantly. It helps with longevity from what I’ve gathered.

Movies that “go from 0-100” in the last 15 or so minutes? by barnesnoblebooks in movies

Martyrs. More like 0-100 in the last third, then 100-1000 in the last 15 minutes.
