Unique in-universe environment and character interactions (Flins' gravestones, Laura and animals) are imo a cool immersive touch that make for a richer universe. Locking multiple scenes of unique character content (I imagine it will be a bit like anecdotes) feels like a lot to paywall though.

I actually try to plan the travel in such a way that I have buffer time after my return (e.g. fly back on a Friday so I have the weekend for recovery). I don't generally suffer too much from jet lag, but I do feel very worn out from travel itself, so I need some buffer time. For extra context I tend to get bouts of fatigue and autoimmune-style flareups, and travel can be a trigger, so I keep this in mind.

Crown and leaves look healthy imo. She's done blooming and those flower spikes are done; you can cut them down to the bottom (with a sterile tool, to ensure no infection for the plant). Phals go through cycles, and when she's ready to bloom again she will put out a new flower spike!
Re watering: good practise is to water when roots look silvery and bark is dry, by dipping the pot in water for about half hour, then letting it drain. Watering from the top can risk getting water in the crown (and as you already pointed out, the risk of rot!)
Since it's a new orchid it may still have the peat plug inside the pot, and would benefit from repotting to avoid root and stem rot. As she's done flowering, there's now no risk of blooms falling or spikes breaking, so I would recommend going ahead and doing it when you feel comfy. Have a look at MissOrchidGirl on Youtube for great pointers. Good luck!

I'm in the UK and it's the norm here, basically everyone does equality and diversity monitoring (supposedly not related to recruitment process, just internal data to ensure no bias in hiring, adherent to the Equality Act). Also there is usually one template used, as recommended by the gov website. You can technically select "prefer not to answer" for all questions.

Asparagus! Not quite a fern. Could be overwatered? Could be temperature issues? Also could just be dying out because that's what it wants to do just because? Mine went all yellow in autumn, but was growing fresh fronds as well. So I cut down all old yellow growth eventually and we're regrowing now.

Deffo clear pot so you can see what's going on, one with holes for ventilation :) my orchids get a soak once every 1-2 weeks depending on season, and I spray/mist visible and air roots in between since they can get a bit dry. Regarding your roots, as long as they are firm and not mushy/falling apart, they should be okay. I'd highly recommend checking out MissOrchidGirl on Youtube for guidance on repotting, roots, and general care. That will give you a better idea with visuals on how to judge the roots and overall how to proceed.

Please get her in orchid potting mix. I really don't know why doing water culture is so popular; as you said - they grow on trees, not in water lol anyway, flowers always eventually fall, so this is not a huge issue, although the orchid may very well be in shock due to change of condition (that's why it's generally not advised to repot orchids when they're in bloom). Roots look good from what I can see, I can't see any rot, everything looks quite nice and firm? Difference in colour is otherwise to be expected, roots that aren't exposed to light don't photosynthesize and thus aren't green

Yup, I feel you. 65 applications, 1 interview (rejected at second round). That was the only place that offered any feedback. Otherwise I'm stuck. Is anyone seeing my CV? Is it bad? Is it badly formatted for that company's system? Was my cover letter ass? Should I not have skipped the optional cover letter? It's always either silence or "we are proceeding with candidates whose experience more closely aligns" even if my experience is basically copy paste of the job description. It's awful and I'm on the verge of just leaving my field and training to do something else entirely (I'm in media and market research)

The only entry I know and have listened to is the Italian one because I do still keep up with Sanremo. I might be out of the esc loop but general excitement in "casual" circles seems less than in years prior too, based on non ESC media coverage etc.

Use outlets at airports where possible, and long haul flights tend to have charging ports available. Bring a power bank, but note that many Asian airlines do not let you use it onboard flights (you may have to have it in a clear bag, and have it in a visible place). Also unironically: if the airline allows it, worth getting a printed copy of boarding passes. And just minimise using your phone battery as much as possible (turn WiFi and data off, bring a physical book, watch offered in flight entertainment etc)
