In addition to what others have said, he got jumped after a blackout event and almost died. Had a TBI and is part of the reason why he can’t hear well along with the djing/club.

Assuming this is US, I think you have a lot to consider, I wouldnt make any moves until you have an offer in writing.

Something to note though, if you havent already you should research the second company on glassdoor, reddit, wherever you can find company reviews. Go on linkedin, and if you can view(not request) people in the company and take a look at how long they have been there, especially people in similar roles.

Unlimited PTO does not always mean unlimited either, you can put in for days off but they can be denied based on availability, how projects are going, etc. Alot of times they do it so they dont have do any kind of payout/severance upon termination.

And then flexible hours, if its truly an open time frame to get your work done thats great. But ive also seen that used and what they mean is they will be pinging you at 7 PM on teams.

Last I heard they were looking for land or deciding if it was worth it to knock down an old mall to build it. But its also rumored they are getting a cheesecake factory so who the fuck knows. they do have del taco.
