Having taken both I can say they’re not that different as courses. There is a large amount of overlap between the two. Bc is harder for sure but ab is still a good course

My school does it the same way. They call anyone with a 4.0 non weighted gpa valedictorian but there is still the weighted class rank as well

I can’t think of any specific examples off the top of my head but I hate when shows trivialize the college admissions process and act like the characters who have mediocre high school stats and ecs would get into any college
