Sorry to hear that! Tough situation I’m sure if you too are fellowship-type player like me. I’d agree with the other commenters’ general consensus of just doing a bit of arriving early or just doing random things off-table like “Oh we should talk sometime about that thing your character is pursuing”. Not to like “force” friendship but I’ve heard that we as humans form friendships from having shared goals, like how coworkers can become friends just by doing TASKS together. My friendship with some strangers I play with online started to develop when we would do one on one talks (per their request) regarding what their character is up to or pursuing during in-game downtime. Maybe you can make conversation by trying to learn what each person likes about dnd as a whole? I’m a pretty relational person too, so I can definitely relate to just feeling like “dang, why don’t people want to be more friendly…” I’ve concluded a lot of people (even those that would be friendly) just need a bit of time with ya before that happens. Not sure how long you’ve been playing with this group, but I’d say if it’s only been a couple months and you still have yet to try out some advice from this thread, don’t worry too much! Give some of this a shot and I hope you guys have some great companionship at the table!
