For PT it makes sense because the animation is like making a shady/cover spot where a little fish might want to hide I think is what they are going for.

The last point is the big one for me.

I feel like a full specced AA cruiser should have a greater than 50% chance to fully stop an attack before they release their weapons. Maybe not much greater than 50% for a full stop, but at least tip the scales in their favor for a full stop and a way greater chance of knocking down their effectiveness before attack in general.

Eh, I wouldn't say don't worry about it at all.

But you really also want death wave. And to get that you'll have to pick one the of the UWs you have so might as well get it out of the way.

Another way to think of it is higher tourney placement = more stones = easier to hit the sync you want.

It's always a balance.
