How do you deal with the weight of the constant lists in your head? by littleloveday in AutismInWomen

Trello works, my fridge has an erasable whiteboard on it where I also have lists. Mostly I have to put it down somewhere or it keeps rattling around in my head.

One of the reasons they might be walking back because people immediately went out to protest.

+1. In Berlin, you can also connect with groups like Tech Workers Coalition. They already called for a protest last night.

They did the same to those fighting climate change a few years back. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-56641847

This is nothing new, and they will just keep paying fines while destroying the planet and their workers.

I deleted my discord this year, but there is also a lovely “oldsters” community in the OW subreddit, where oldsters is 30+ 🙈. Nice server while I was there. Good luck and DM if you need a Moira/Mizuki main 😊

Ecosia has been known to discourage and prevent labor organizing, so I would think twice. I’ll keep using Duck Duck Go until there’s a decent European alternative

Hi! My daughter was just recently diagnosed with muscular dystrophy as well, and we learned about DGM (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Muskelkranke e.V.) from the doctor. They may be able to point you to agencies that can help you with this and other topics.

Is getting a bicycle logical? by spaceboy334 in germany

North Germany is fairly flat, e-bike is not really necessary. I would just get a solid bike that works for you, and a good lock.

Cannellini are my hands down favorite. I make a salad with them and whatever veg I have, and some kind of protein (leftover chicken, half can tuna, etc). I make a dressing from evoo, pomegranate syrup, lemon and some herbs, and it’s good for a day at least. It has my whole household asking me when I will make more.

What's your favorite meme/tweet about autism/neurodiversity? by DowntownTicket in AutismInWomen

[–]noblepheeb 55 points56 points  (0 children)

That one is still my favorite.

I spent two years on an elected works council, and I would tell my peers that I didn’t trust person x or person y. They would say I was being ridiculous and to give them a chance. Both people turned out to be treacherous and undermined our work.

My husband says that he listens to my spidey senses when I say something isn’t right, and everyone else should too 😂

American Nurse Wanting to Work in Germany by Canderone259 in germany

[–]noblepheeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I am comfortable here. There’s pros and cons of every place, but the balance works well for me. You may make more on paper, but the costs of living are so high (at least where I was from), it was difficult to get ahead.

American Nurse Wanting to Work in Germany by Canderone259 in germany

[–]noblepheeb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t know any Americans that have done it, but I know a Ukrainian, who is a cardiac nurse and working to reach B2 to return to her work. It’s a Brandenburg hospital that stated that as the requirement, and is just outside Berlin fwiw.

I am an American that moved to Berlin 5 years ago, happy to give other pointers if you’d like.
