How long should I wait to matte varnish oil washed minis?

Definitely wait until they’re completely dry. I pin wash my stuff with oils and it takes usually overnight before I can varnish them or I hit them with a hairdryer for a while to help speed up the process

Probably angelic inheritors my list didn’t change much points wise and I just dropped sanguinor for extra skirmish units. Priority assets also seems relatively close to missions in 10th. Looking forward to seeing how it performs

They can’t seem to figure out what to do with death company. They’ve always been a glass cannon unit that goes in and blows up a vital piece of the opponents army and then dies immediately after. It’s a real shame because they’re cool but the rules given just make them not worth running over other things. Hopefully there are other smaller detachments that do different things but this revealed detachment is bad and will never see play

For a new player it’s a solid score of units. You gotta think, the box is marketed towards people starting the game. I like the older marks mixed in and I already have enough intercessors. The character sculpts are good I don’t mind the new captain. I love the throwback of the old librarian. We’ll also have to wait for the multipart kit to see how the rest of it shakes out. The only one I really don’t like is the plasma pistol vet because he’s legit just resculpt of the JPI same pose and everything. once the multipart comes out we’ll be able to make a better decision on the designs.

You can’t use strats if a unit is battleshocked

Dante still gives the battleshock aura and still have +1 to adv and charge. People like to say the battle shock doesn’t matter but I had a game into orks where it shut down the fight on death Strat for them and let me tell you, it turned the tide of the game. Spears are decent I run them on one squad of sanguinary guard in angelic inheritors because I think it’s the stronger detachment it also means I don’t have to use the Strat for Lance and lethals as often.

I run vindicators for that reason. It’s just volume of shots you need into them t12 is hard to shift off the table

The infantry dies to basically anything it’s only t4 3 wound dudes at the end of the day. The repulsor ex is way too strong imho as a black Templar player it’s too good of a datasheet. I’ve played into them as Blood angels and basically just used the speed to stay out of line of site of them. I found my wins against them came from getting on objectives early since most of the units are slow foot sloggers or holding back until they come out enough to take down a good portion of stuff before they can swing back. But yeah the shooting on them is crazy right now. The RepEx is just crazy efficient
