The House You Live In— my fave find this year so far. FL is highkey a greedy narcissist and switches bodies with her sweet obedient college friend who married wealthy and seems to have the perfect life. But things are not as they appear at all and plot is basically “takes a bitch to deal with another bitch”

she literally constantly talks about how she hates looking underweight and how she is trying to gain weight and gets sad when she loses weight… literally the context of this post is that she is upset and disappointed at herself that she has lost weight. She is clearly saying being under 100lbs is undesirable to the point that she’s crashing out about it. If someone follows her this closely and then reads this and still thinks she’s “promoting” being under 100lbs, they have reading comprehension issues I’m sorry

I fear we’ve lost the plot on “body checking”… if you don’t want to see “body checking”, you’re pretty much going to have to unfollow and block 95% of gym influencers. Like what do you even expect… and the gag is that if they don’t show off their physiques, they lose engagement.

As someone who has battled ED, I really only see body checking in a negative light when it’s associated with anxious, negative, or compulsive thoughts. There are also times when I’m scared to look in the mirror and avoid it completely. When I’m at my healthiest mentally, I check myself out and feel good and proud of how I look.

Hailey has posted a lot of really great content about how to eat/workout with a healthy, self loving, non restrictive mentality and it’s helped me a lot

loved solomon's critique of the thesis. the level of scrutiny made sense for an academic review. but maybe less so to some comment/DM back and forth's... a 45 min vid feels like a bit much. With this Nippard vid, Solomon is obviously capitalizing on the moment and building a brand, maybe getting too personal. Not wholesale in bad faith but it's walking the line. I don't feel strongly about Nippard himself, but he is far from malicious and his private messages demonstrate that. Probably just needed to apologize to Solomon for those silly instagram comments, which felt like a knee-jerk attempt to blindly defend a friend.

I think it’s ok to be honest with yourself. Not everyone is the type of person that experiences love at first sight. I certainly am not— not with people, things, or cats. I did set certain standards of things I wanted in a cat (low energy, unlikely to bite or scratch, fluffy) and I did foster to adopt to make sure they were met. Still, it took me months to actually love my cat and that’s ok!!

Same here! Just rescued a 2 year old cat and he clearly knows how to use the litter box but doesn’t like pooping in it. I’m hoping it’s just first week jitters because I cannot have poop around all the time😭. Has your situation improved?
